Hey, nobody's forcing you to play 1.329 version. I, for one, is still playing v1.327 (the best IMO).

you have fight enemies for weapons. easier with high looting skill

Go to the city, find the merchant and speak with him. You'll need a bribe (about 500 denars) to be able to buy something from him.
