to fix that problem you have to go to the mount&blade directory (C:\Program Files\Mount&Blade as default) then go to the "Data" folder then open the the text file "Music.txt"

there should be a descending list of the names of songs that are played for mount&blade

Default(your Music.txt should ORIGINALLY look like this):

8
alosingbattle.mp3 3
reluctanthero.mp3 2
thegreathall.mp3 1
requiem.mp3 1
silentintruder.mp3 3
thepilgrimage.mp3 1
ambushed.mp3 2
triumph.mp3 2

(as you can see there are currently 8 lines of songs with alosingbattle.mp3 being line 1, reluctanthero.mp3 being line 2, and thegreathall.mp3 being line 4, etc.)

in order to get rid of the error you will have to put the number of songs in this text on the top of all the names (as the example shows above), on default there are currently 8 songs so the number at the top should be 8, so the more songs you add to the list and to the music folder the more you will add to the 8, for example if you add 1 more song you will add 1 to the 8. so 8+1=9 so instead of the 8 you will add a 9

Example:

9
alosingbattle.mp3 3
reluctanthero.mp3 2
thegreathall.mp3 1
requiem.mp3 1
silentintruder.mp3 3
thepilgrimage.mp3 1
ambushed.mp3 2
triumph.mp3 2
overwhelming.mp3 3 <--(this being the 9th song which would just be added for this example)

so the bottom line is to count the number of lines of songs in your music.txt file and then if the number at the top isnt that same as the number of the songs on each line then you should correct the number at the top with how many songs there are on each line
