The mod hasn't been updated to 3.92f3; make sure you install the patch in the same directory as the full install.

Don't worry, just make sure you installed the mod into warband's module directory; after wards load the game up. When you click "new game" your going to have to let it load. Depending on your cpu speed it could take up to 5 mins. Just be patient and let it load.
well i figured it was a time issue, but i just installed my new quadcore, and my 32gbs of ram... and i let it sit for an entire hour, and now it says i'm not loading the resources right or something

Hmm, the only real issue I see here is the the mod isn't patched to the latest version. Make sure the patch installs to the same folder as the full install.

I waited for several minutes "for the mod" to load and the computer LOCKED UP. It would not respond so what am I supposed to do? Wait for an hour or more to see what happens.

Like I said before, I have played MANY mods before and once you load the game and then start a new game with that mod it will take a couple of minutes to "initialize". This one just DID NOT RESPOND. I tried it TWO (2) times just to make sure.

So in my estimation this mod is garbage pure and simple. And people in this comment section seem to agree with that statement because they have had problems too. >:(
Over 10000 people have downloaded this mod and haven't many issues with the mod; why don't you go to the forums so I can really help you with the issue your having? That way I can help you with your problem and you can really play the mod and tell if it is garbage or not.

You have to be patient and let it load. If a program becomes stuck just use "Ctrl+Alt+Del" instead of forcing the computer to shutdown.

If your playing 3.92 it surely isn't as bad as 3.8 or 3.90; When you speed up time the computer has to think more than twice as fast because your making it do a large amount of thinking in a short time. There are many things that happen behind the scenes that you aren't told.

1. That will be possible in the next release.
2. Press "Backspace" and you can give your troops orders that way instead. Don't forget that you can click on the map in the upper right corner to give move orders to your troops.
3. More options to tell your troops what to do after a duel will come in the next major release.

If you've downloaded the 3.92 Full Install make sure you get the Hot Fix for it.

EDIT: ok everyone I was messing around trying to figure out why this was happening and for some reason the new patch doesnt have any files in the resources folder (C:\Mount&Blade Warband\Modules\Sword of Damocles Warlords\Resource) compared to the older versions of this mod. All I did was copy all the files from an older versions resource folder to the new versions folder and the game loads up just fine. Hope this helps, and have fun :) This mod is fantastic btw

Havent visited them all yet as that might be rather annoying with the game constantly crashing but so far i believe

Probably tried a few more and looks like i have it with every town when i try to visit the castle itself, could try a few more ofcourse as i just might be very unlucky.
Anyway those 3 above i tried several times and still the game keeps crashing (no error messages, the games just closes down and then you get the useless windows problem searcher)
Just to clear up that i have the lastest version of Warband before i get the obvious suggestions or tips/comments from people if they felt the need to point it out.

Thanks I think I've found the issue and will be uploading it when I'm ready.

Also, when I started to try this, I immediately got the feeling of "Warband, but larger." When people look for a mod, they tend to look for something different to try out, or add on. Not a larger map with MORE kingdoms.
On a side note, this mod is extremely laggy on the highest settings. And no, it's not my computer. I have an ASUS i7 core 6 GB ram w7 gaming laptop, meant to (with success) handle games such as Oblivion and Fallout on the highest settings, among other graphic intense games.
The engine in some ways is limited by the scope and size of the map. The next release will take place on a smaller landscape.

worked till i goto glenn and his 3800 looters and bandits got them down to 2043 and it shut down i hope it autosaved after each battle cause i gained lots of reknown and im still waiting for info on the character export file, BTW, thnx for tamer.
The bandits have been removed for 3.0; they were causing issues with the game...

I've fixed a lot of the lag in 3.0; it'll be due for a release hopefully before the 15th :hammer:

Thank you, the invasion will comeback but it's not in the test version. Every faction is on the map so we can balance out all the units and add or remove features.

yes i recently downloaded it and thats what happened i seiged the castle and guards came out to meet me and all the battles were in the throne room and the throne room later is in the dungeon
Hmm, it sounds like something that would happen in a town, castles really only take place on one scene. Oh I know what's wrong! Did you make a new save game??? Every Update I release will require a new save game because I make that many changes to the game.

just so you know I can siege a castle with no issues. make sure you installed the mod right and that you have the latest patch (2.2) all the contents should go in a folder under your module directory in one folder.

Aww crap :-( I forgot to set the siege type "TOWNS* not Castles in the scripts area... I'll release a patch for it in 2.3

Q1: It's not a bug they just weren't named. They've been named now, I'm going to release a patch in a few hours which fixes a lot of problems.
Q2: You can't anymore, by default the type of units you get from villages depends on the culture of the villages current lord. Until you own a fief will you get troops corresponding to your culture. You can always hire peasants in taverns that are willing to join you just like mercenaries are. There weak but really cheap and make good cannon fodder.

Hey what do you use to put weapons in the game? Because im trying to make a small weapons mod and i cant seem to figure out the process. Im using Wings 3d to make the models and i have openBrf, and morghs mod tools, but in wings i cant seem to attach the uv mapping correctly and that makes my textures not work which is kinda annoying... :oops:

Man I had to learn this on my own to be honest. What I did was export the practice sword, 2 handed practice sword, and practice dagger (arena) from the resource files using OpenBRF. I don't use Wings for my modelling I use 3DS Max 2009 (I got 2011 but I'm fine with 2009 for now). Then After I extracted the 3 practice weapons as OBJ files I imported them into 3DS Max as a reference for the sword model I'm making or importing. After that I froze the 3 of them. In the editor you'll notice that their positioned in away so they'll look right in-game. The texturing tutorials in the Taleworlds forums didn't help me out much, I just use the XVU Material Tools in 3DS Max. This requires me to select the faces I want to move my texture (material) on the 3D object (in this case a sword) where I want it. I had to do this when I was making the faction banners for the new factions. Make sure you assign the materials you want to the object first. If I were I'd go along and look up tutorials because I don't use Wings 3Ds since I'm an "Autodesk" head.

Make sure you select which faces of the model you want to move the material on. That's what I do in 3Ds Max.

Man I had to learn this on my own to be honest. What I did was export the practice sword, 2 handed practice sword, and practice dagger (arena) from the resource files using OpenBRF. I don't use Wings for my modelling I use 3DS Max 2009 (I got 2011 but I'm fine with 2009 for now). Then After I extracted the 3 practice weapons as OBJ files I imported them into 3DS Max as a reference for the sword model I'm making or importing. After that I froze the 3 of them. In the editor you'll notice that their positioned in away so they'll look right in-game. The texturing tutorials in the Taleworlds forums didn't help me out much, I just use the XVU Material Tools in 3DS Max. This requires me to select the faces I want to move my texture (material) on the 3D object (in this case a sword) where I want it. I had to do this when I was making the faction banners for the new factions. Make sure you assign the materials you want to the object first. If I were I'd go along and look up tutorials because I don't use Wings 3Ds since I'm an "Autodesk" head.

Make sure you select which faces of the model you want to move the material on. That's what I do in 3Ds Max.

sounds great i i love doing any of this i can do any voices, personalities, or dialogue u need. let me know what u want.

I've already added a bunch of ranged weapons. There will be over 100 melee weapons added to the game that no other mod has added before. You can say we are gonna take the word "sword" serious.

I would add more armor but I'm not to good add applying the bone mesh, I'll need more practice in that area.

I found adding weapons to be easy for me.

The companions are in the game, there just harder to find because there are only 16 wandering through 96 towns. I'm in the process of at least doubling that number of total companions to 32.

It looks like your download is corrupt because all the required "banner_*.dds" files that you need are included into the download. There should be 556 dds texture files in the full 2.0 release.

Thanks, the mod isn't done yet but it's getting there. The heroes are a major priority at the moment but I have an issue with the hero bandit quest at the moment.

That means your download is corrupt (meaning it finished to early), when it says "unexpected end". You might want clear your internet history for your internet browser.

If if still brings up errors when you extract it, get the 1.0 release then the 2.0 patch and see if they work. Just so you know, I use WinRar or 7zip to extract the files.

Some minor things i've bumped through so far:

There's a lot of things going on in-game so it's only natural that the game will drop it's FPS while fast forwarding time. There's also more spawn points than the usual Warband map. I don't receive any lag with my computer so even if you say you have a good one it really depends on the set up you have. For instance a Computer running Windows 7 with a dual core 2.6 ghz and 4 gigs of ram can run the game better than an Windows XP with a dual 3.6 ghz core and 3 gigs of Ram.
