Such a great mod! Every time I read the description of a new version I get excited!!!

Unfortunatelly with great mods comes great trouble... mostly because the size of the code is normal to create more errors... and here you have it :/ When I started 1.34 I got a crash right when I chose in which Kingdome I wanted to start... using the second option for the Irish if that's any difference. And the second time it crashed when i tried to save...... Haven't tried to play a third time... I want to play this mod so bad but it seems I won't be able to :P

My system is running Windows 7 32bit if that's making an difference (in most cases it does but i don't know about the crashes)
Any ideas?

I'm pretty sure the companions are supposed to do that... I dont know though. That feature was designed so you would have a bodyguard. :D

I finally got 1.332 to work, so I know what you mean.... But as for the sheildbash... I have only managed to do it once, on accident. :(
It is supposed to be Right Click+Left Click, but it never works for me. The other thing is to make sure that you have the 'Sheildbash Player" option on in your Camp Mod Options menu.

Hope that helped!

Yeah i have the mode on and all but i haven't managed to do it either... at times i kinda do some 0 damage things just by running towards opponents but i doupt it's that... i mean it doesn't make any more like a shield bash... I hope we can solve that, shield+spear combo is really frustrating in tournaments when they start falling on you...

Thanks though

Are companions supposed to follow you into tavers and occasions like when you go to a village center? I don't know if i somehow buged it or i activated something by accident but suddenly my companion appears in such occasions and runs around. And he starts getting on my nerves...

Plus i still haven't found how to use the shield bash xD Do i need to have a skill on shields or something?

Thanks
Hey guys :) It's me again :P Bored of me yet? :P

Well first of all sorry to keep bugging you with reporting problems. I don't mean to be a troll or anything, i am actually very fond of your work and what i want is to help you make it better. What i regret is that I cannot help you more actively at the moment since i lack the proper knowledge on python and such, and for about two more weeks, i also lack the time to read some tutorials idibil had sent me etc.

Anyway, cutting to the chace. I want to report a problem with the Gore mode. It's really impressive btw, the way people get beheaded and that spray of blood x3 Yay! Although sometimes it happens even to people who don't die... When it first happened to me i didn't realize it, and then i turned to see a headless guy fleeing the battle. I was too busy laughing my head off to get a screenshot and i thought it might be a coinsidence. But then it happened again. In fact this time it happened to my character in the beginning of the battle xD And at about the end it also happened to one of the enemies. This time i have a screenshot though: Headless1.png

Headless rider ftw xP

Well anyway, a humble suggestion would be some kind of condition check? Like if life <= 0 then behead? I don't know if it's even like that in python but i just don't like bringing up problems without proposing something x3

Thanks again. Keep up the good work! ^^

Still getting the error messages come up? I re-patched my copy to 1.134 and its now working fine! Give it a try and let me know.

I can't thank you enough.... it was my game version being 1.132... the launcher for some reason didn't inform me there was a new patch. Thanks again! I can finally play :3

Thanks for the shield bash tip. Does it work with any shield?

As about the errors... I really hope they fix it soon... i can't play like that either and i really want to explore the mode after so many months of being away from the game. Do you use windows 7 btw? It might be a reason of our troubles... Windows 7 gave me lots and lots of trouble when i tried to use the Mod Tools... they didn't allow the program to overide the unit and item files... and they have given me a few very odd problems with some other games too, mostly because they don't give permission to custom setup programs to override files and such... Could it be fixed by changing the settings? or the installer perhaps?

Hello there. I haven't plaied in a while since i've been busy but now i kinda felt like checking Mount and Blade again. I had this mod in my watchlist and i was glad to see how far you got it ^^ I experience some problems though... I haven't playied much i am just on the start of a new game and yeah...... kinda dissapointed because i really want to play this mod.

First of all when i started the game i was given a weapon i could not use... so i ended up unarmed and foced to beat the heal out of the poor bandit that attacks you at the beginning of the game xP The options i picked were Gender:Male, Parent: Merchant, Childhood(if i am right that was the name): Craftsman Aprentice, Job: Traveling Warrior, and the last one was Lost of a Loved one. I was given a spear that requires power throw 2 and i have no power throw xP

Well dispite that everything seemed to run smoothly. No error messages in the fight, nothing. I talk to the merchant get out to the map and then I decided I wanted to see your new mods, realistic casualties and gore mode. So i go and select them and as usual going to butcher the closest bandit party :P I don't know if you made them that tough but they would need like 100 damage to die. In any case every time i attacked i got those red lines raising on my screen. I first thought it was the mods, so i dissabled them to see which one it was. Even with both dissabled though I keep getting these messages:

Unrecognized opcode 1804.; LINE NO: 5:
At Mission Template mst_lead_charge trigger no: 37 consequences.
At Mission Template mst_lead_charge trigger no: 37 consequences.

that text again and again... well now that i actually read it i guess it has to do something with the troops following? I had no troops at the curent time.

Anyway... thanks for reading and thanks for the help! btw..... How does the shield bash work? x3 I'd love to see that!

Thanks again

Hello there. I've been playing this mode for a while and I have to say it's really nice :) Although it's kinda heavy.

Well I would like to make a question, I hope you don't mind answering. You see, I try to mod a bit the modules I play to change things I like and such. Something I really think is a great aspect in the game is when you can permanently make lods dissapear, allowing you to sack the opponent's strength and get rid of annoying foes. So what I would like to ask you is how this is possible for warband? What should I change in order to make it work? Right now I don't have the slightest clue about how to do it, so if you don't mind answering, please send me a message.

Thank you in advance :)

Keep up the good work ;)

pm me in talesworlds forum plz. I dont understand well that you want say, but I try solve your dude here.

You use the same name for the taleworks forum? What I actually asked was how I can make it possible to permanently kill lords in a mod that this is not happening. But I will discuss more about it in there if you wish. Thank you for answering :)

Sorry i fixed it!!

Windows 7 is just gay and puts the saved troops.txt into "compatibility files" folder. So basically it keeps the original and puts the new save and backups into compatibility folder

I have the same problem.... where is that compatibility folder you mentioned? I can't seem to find it.

What I think would be a great addition is giving the option to permanently kill the lods if you capture them. I tried to find how to do it myself but I can't seem to find a way to edit a mod in order to do that. Still I think it spices up the whole thing a bit since you can get rid of the annoying people who keep attacking you and sack the power of your oponents military that way.

I also want to say that this is a great mod and I was playing it from the moment it got out, trying to mod a bit myself, but my crazy scedule and lack of knowledge on the M&B moding didn't let me to do great things. All I was doing was edditing some items and improving the faces of characters like trying to make the ladies a bit more charming. :P Although I had trouble removing those silly hats they have to wear xP

Anyway... Keep up the good work! I hope to see upgreats soon ^^

You can get the source files for your own modding experience here...http://gipmagazine.com/mbwarband-warring-states-ii-source.html

The thing is I don't really know how to use source files really.... So all I've done so far is changing things and adding modes using moding tools with UI. :S

Downloading as we speak. I really try to spice up Warband a bit with any interesting modes i find around. For example i am thinking of getting this mode and add Pike&Blade on it. I think it should work. (Maybe i would have to add the new faction units in the end but i will work on it). What i really miss is the great variety of items from mods like PoP or such. I would greatly suggest it as an addition to further versions. I think it will attract a lot of players.

As for the moding... I am a junior developer, still in uni, and i would love to get some experience in such things. My schedule is really heavy with all the projects and labs (plus football training and matches xD), but if you think you would need any extra hands don't hesitate to add me in the team! If you want to discuss any further on that feel free to message me ^^

Thanks and keep up the good work ;)

Sure TigerGRC.. I welcome any help I can get.

I am now done with editing the troop, and party_templates files. Everything seems good and without any trouble, units seem to be as planed and such. Now fully fixed!!! Messages work properly and i haven't spoted any other problems so far!

In any case i can show you the mod and if you like it you could add it in the new version.
If you want to discuss any further this is my msn account:

It's a nice mod. The map looks very accurate and the whole concept seems really interesting. But i have to disagree with a few things:
1. The speed of two handed weapons... why you made two handed swords so slow? O.O I agree that they are heave and cannot be as fast as a short sword for example. But now they swing as if it's a replay O.O The weight of the weapon alone would force the swing to be faster... or the fighter to drop it...
2. Do only lances do damage in this game? I mean with all that armor only a good lance hit from a mounted unit does some actual damage. I think the soak on slashing should be damaged a bit.
3. Really nice and accurate that most units are peasants and such. But don't you think every country should have a few special units just to give some interest in the whole battle thing?

Other than these suggestions i have to say that the game is really good, especially for such an early version.
