Thanks this is great! um, when i added this to my game i got new armor and shields that i hadn't seen before. was that supposed to happen? it was a nice surprise!

if you are asking me i will answer here it is it depends if it is called Narf's_Plate_Armour yes do you have _brf because it is a brf file or because you changed it...
my file is called Narf's_Plate_Armor.brf not _brf so i put load_mod_resource = Narf's_Plate_Armour

I am trying to write the line item for the bear paw shoes. is "itm_bear_paw_shoes Wrapping_Boots Wrapping_Boots 1 bear_paw_shoes 0 536940302 0 3 123731968 1.000000 100 0 0 3 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0" the correct line item to put into item_kinds1? Can I choose any "boots" line item to copy from the original item_kinds1? I am very unsure about how to write the line items.
