Sorry, but the background story isn't really supposed to be anything other than determining what equipment and stats you start out with. It uses some of the same global variables that gets used later in the game. I'll think about reducing the number that spawns when you enter a non-battle scene. You might get more error messages about most profitable town to trade after a week or so until I upload a newer version.

Thanks for the rapid response; the background story -thing is really a quite minor issue, but I just thought I'd post that along with the other things.
I'll be waiting for the update with great anticipation :-D

First of all, thanks. This mod is G-R-E-A-T and got me playing Warband again.

Now for the less happy things, some things I noticed when playing the latest version:

The NPC Lords, when upgrading equipment: You can see some strange console text in the message area, as if you had cheat mode on.
"Lord Whoeverhewas trying to equip thisorthat with x diff y" or something in that direction. (The 'x' and 'y' are always some number, they seem to vary.)
Same thing when upgrading NPCs in your party.

Also, about the bodyguards: I recruited a bunch of White Wolves to be my bodyguard. Upon entering a tavern after that, it was quite difficult to move, with the 12 Wolves standing at the doorway before me. As you might have guessed, I fired the bodyguards and added them to my party like normal.
Another thing is that the bodyguards I got from the Lord of the Faction when becoming a vassal were lost when I got knocked out in combat about 10mins later (not a bandit ambush, but an actual battle). So they didn't really get to do much. But the idea of them helping you in those annoying ambushes is great.

The last thing is, about the great new feature, the "background story" - if you join another faction than which was your birthplace, it gets switched to the one you are currently in.

If you've got any ideas how to fix these issues, I'd be glad; I can't always be sure if it's not just some random bug or issue on my end. And if they're in the mod itself, well, maybe you can do something to them now that you know about them ;)

But please, do keep up the good work. "The child of a modder and beer" is just awesome. :pint:

Yeah, no problem then; it's just that I've downloaded this with 1mbit, 2mbits and 10mbits connections, and the download speed with all of them has been around 50kb/s, therefore taking about 12 minutes to download. :-|

How do i get this working? when i start the game it says, cant find "Horse_meshes" and when i remove that line from module.ini, it says cant find "Horse_anim_b" and after removing that line too, i get error message "Cant get object snowypine2" or something like that?

I just copied the module.ini and itemkinds.txt to the native folder.

I had the same problem, I remember doing some changes to the module file... I changed "horse_meshes" to "horses_b" and I don't remember if I changed some other lines as well and if I did then what were they. But try that for a start.

A great pack; however, the download speed is rather slow. Please try to fix it, and all of the people working on this, good job - keep it up!
