You can try changing the shader for the armor materials in brfedit or openbrf to 'iron shader'

Thanks for the speedy reply, but it didnt seem to answer my question. The link that is a couple messages up that is the item editor does not have a "clone" or "copy" option in the edit. It only has an insert here or at the end option. Is that what im supposed to use at the clone? Thanks in advance

Yes, when I said 'clone' I meant 'copy and paste'.

What exactly do you mean by cloning? I dont see a clone option when i bring up the item that I want to clone to use for your armor. I'm new to this as well so I dont want to mess something up by guessing on what to do. thanks in advance

Will you make Indo-Persian swords too?

Alas, 3D modeling is a skill that still eludes me :-( I've been hoping someone would make an OSP pack of Asian weapons other than Japanese or Chinese for quite a whiles now. The closest thing there is right now is Sybilla's swords pack: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?topic=62156.195

DUDE those look AWESOME!! I want to definitely put them in the game but.. I have no idea how to add them
I downloaded it but I didn't see an item_kinds list, I downloaded the tutorials for coding too but I still have no idea how to add these :-(
Could you explain or give a short summary on what to do with these files and how to actually add them? cause I want these and many others so badly but not all of them have that list for the items_kinds, so again could you please tell me what I need to add them and what to do!

simple. copy the brf file to your Resource folder. copy the dds files to your Textures folder. download the Item Editor from here http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,27735.15.html. use the item editor to clone armors similar in stats to what you want to insert, and then simply change the item ID and mesh name.

for example, i want to insert southern_armor_a as a variant of the lamellar armor. find lamellar armor using the Item Editor, clone it, go to the clone, change the id lamellar_armor_a or whatever to my_armor or whatever name you want, then change the mesh from lamellar_armor_a to southern_armor_a.

be careful of spelling and capitalization. i use no caps in my item and mesh names. if you make a mistake here, the item will not be read correctly.

First of all GREAT MOD GUYS :hammer: !!! I really enjoy playing it. The reason i am posting this is that i found a new glitch( well i think its new :) ) when your rifle ammo goes below 89-88 it replenishes itself back to the full clip of 117, i dont mind this  cause u have an unlimited ammo, and when storming a castle u can just kill every1 by urself :D. thanx again for the great mode dudes :hammer:

that's not a bug :-) i tweaked the reinforcement waves so battles and sieges last longer, and to compensate i made ammo automatically replenish during sieges.

how can i fight against elephants? do i need AK-47 ?

the elephant rider is NOT invulnerable. you just need to work on your aim. the best tactic is to get behind the elephant and either shoot or lance the rider from behind.

btw, you will probably not see a properly working elephant until someone makes one for Warband.

Thanks for the feedback, Murabit! I've had to tweak the fief-giving system a bit, so that you can only give castles or towns as fiefs. It seems the game's scripts always give a castle or town's attached villages to the new owner of the castle by default, so if you give a village then give away the castle it's attached to, the village changes owner.

Also, the map is still far from complete, it still doesn't look like India at all and I have some kingdoms a bit misplaced.

In the meantime I've added some new towns and villages, and a whole new faction, the Ahom Kingdom. The Ahoms, or Assamese, have more of a Southeast Asian culture but had an important role in the history of eastern India so I wanted to include them. Lots of new stuff coming in the next release!

faction blue seems very strong to me..especially cavalary or camels with lances.. I cant stop them with infantry or cavalary archer...
and game crashes when I fight against blue faction sometimes.. I m using battle limit editor (option 150 men) it never crashes when I fight other nations ..it crashes while Im fighting with blue faction ..is there a problem with that nation ?? anyway
thank you very much for this mod I really like this eastern style of battles , dressing, warriors and towns..
and sorry for my bad english IM TUrkish ;)

Okay, I'll check this. I've never had any problems, and my battle size is set to 200. Here's a free tip: to stop the Rajputs, shoot their horses :) Try to recruit cavalry that's faster than theirs - Uzbek horse archers, Marathas, or Mughal cherkajis.

Just to be sure, please download the latest version.

Elephants have broken legs.
Very boring gameplay, WHEN battles are bigger than 100. For example 400 vs 1000, with my 400 mens army, i have to wait 1000/~50 = 20 rounds max to kill them all.
There is a need for a larger spawn count, larger battles.

Those elephants were made for v .960, and have always had that problem in 1.011. No new elephant models have been made unfortunately, so they're just placeholders until we can have better models and an actual elephant skeleton.

You should use the Battle Sizer app to increase your maximum battle size. I'm playing with 250 max per round, I could make it 300 or 400 but I'd rather use my system resources for the graphics.

No, I don't have ETW. You'll find the Marathas here too, but they haven't established their own state yet; they're still serving as mercenaries for the Adil Shahi sultans. Have fun!

I really like(d) the first release of the mod and am very excited about this one. Good to see, that you are still working on it and it's not dead, because the models look fantastic, the idea is great and unique and I just love the way that there are very big armies and battles from the very beginning.

One thing however annoyed me with the first draft of the mod: The game crushes to desktop, when I'm in the post-battle hire/take prisoner screen, when I pick a certain number of different units. Maybe this is a bug or maybe it's dew to my game configuration, because I get the same thing with many mods. Any opinion on that?

Never happened to me in any of my mods, or anybody else's mod. Maybe you should ask about this in the M&B forums.

Good Evening:

I have been playing the mod and is enjoyable, however the map boundries needs to be fixed. The problem seems to be when you travel towards the North East Sonargaon, all across Gaur, Elluchpur, and Dunmar. Once the map boundries gets fixed will be a better mod. Perhaps you folks should entertain the idea in including a couple of more features, prisoners at level, cattle to follow, some additional capabilities for the village and town menus and so on. Great looking armor, horses and weapons.

Best regards

Hi, and sorry for not replying at once. You can download the new version, the maps here are fixed now.

And oh yes, prisoners can now be sold at price based on their level. Forgot to add that to the features list.

the camels have the same wonky leg bug as the elephants, so i made them unridable - they're the equivalent of sumpter horses in this mod.
