SCREENSHOTS


:arrow: Most M&B players finds themselves spending most of their time watching these ugly textures in world map view. So how about replacing them with much better ones? :D
Since I found myself still going back to this game - I refreshed main map's textures again! :) enjoy and share


NOTE FOR MODDERS in case you want to modify these textures: To make everything more alive I treated mipmaps as separate textures renderer blends between. So - before editing make sure you are loading them with whole mipmap set (there is a checkbox for that in DDS plugin's dialog screen). And when saving them again remember to check "Use existing mipmaps".
If your DDS dialog box isn't showing up then you need to find and reset this option in windows registry.

AYE! Nice job! Did you think of making of a new model for player on the map. On the horse and without it. Cause the player looks so lame.

Excellent :D it really looks good, much more lively than before.

And i agree, you should consider making texture for the character, or something more detailed when in first player mode, there are alot of things that can be upgraded there :D

I tried using this in Warband 1.134, and had to modify map_icons_b.brf to add some of the missing meshes. Below is the resulting file, compatible with 1.1.34:

You website is down... Would it be ok for your to include this mod in a mod pack for WFAS? Credit would of couse be given?

Hi,

This looks great from the screenshots, but when I install it, only buildings and bridges are retextured--not the landscape itself.

Now this is the first mod I have tried to install, so it is entirely possible that I have done something wrong. But since there were no instructions included, I just backed up my original "map_icons_b.brf" and dropped this one in the "CommenRes" folder in its place.

Can anyone help a noobie out here?
