STAR WARS CONQUEST

Description:

This is a Star Wars mod for Mount & Blade 1.010/1.011. There are three factions in the game: Galactic Empire, Rebel Alliance, and the Hutt Cartel. Each faction includes over 12 different troops (Jedi, Sith, Stormtroopers, Commando's, Scout Troopers, Rebel Pilots, Skiff Guards, etc) and the mercenaries in the game have been switched to various aliens like Wookiees, Gamorreans, Twileks, Rodians, Trandoshans, and others. All textures for the user interface and in towns/castles/villages have been switched and the map has been switched to a space texture with planets. The Training and Quick Battles have been modified and the Custom Battle Mod and other functionality have also been integrated. Scene editing is in progress and many of the major planets have been modified.



NOTE: Unfortunately, I no longer have time to work on Star Wars Conquest, but Swyter and the rest of the team are continuing to further improve this mod. For updates and downloads to SWC I recommend checking the ModDB page below since that will be more updated than this page in the future.

I don't care if you port this to warband, or just update it for 1.011. I have to say that this is a very well made mod, with so much effort put into everything. All the people who took part in this have my deepest respect and grattitude.

Please do not give up on this mod. Continue to update it and it'll become the best mod on this site!

i try to launch the mod and it gets to the loading ini file then it says it cant load ani somthing for a commonres folder how do i fix?

I downloaded this about a week ago on another site >.> ;-)

Anyways it's a great mod, I love the new features.

First off, I respect how the developers of this mod correctly use the mod version. (0.9.0.3) Other moders don't understand that version 1.0 is suppose to be a complete game, and version 2.0 is suppose to be a complete game-improving massive update of the game, not a new hero or a few new items. With this mod, I can be reassured that v1.0 is going to be exactly what it says it is, a COMPLETE GAME. Thanks for all the work you guys put into this.

A few things it could use:

- The ability to choose a droid kingdom culture. (I mean if you can get clones you should be able to get droids >.>)
- Area effected lightning and push force powers.
-Ability to jump higher with force jump and jetpacks (without having to push J - simply pushing the normal jump key, where the longer you hold it the higher you jump)
- Force speed.
- A more complex AI system, where troops tend to stick together in units and prefer range weapons over melee. (It saddens me to watch my army of clone troopers put their guns away and attempt to poke the enemy with their kitchen knives *cough* combat knives. Telling them to all to hold position in one spot isn't much of a solution. Is there a way they could split up into groups and avoid running into melee combat (keeping a distance of like 20+ feet but still pursuing the enemy)?

- If the last one wasn't pushing it, this one will. A completely new gameplay mode where each planet you control generates armies (not as strong as lords but strong enough that in numbers could do some real damage). A new command system which allows you to group these armies and turn them into squadrons or armadas (making it easier to have groups of them attack a planet successfully). I think this would make the game feel more like war. Constant battles, constant campaigns, constant fun and excitement.

- Perhaps implementing Planetary Bonuses. At least for some of the important main planets. (such as increase in your factions rifle damage, speed, regeneration, lowers food consumption, lowers troop cost, generates special jedi/sith armies or top tier troops, etc.)

- The possibility to form alliances (in which you can ask for help or be given help without asking if the AI is nearby, and the AI faction will ask you for help on their campaigns also, and you can lend them lords or armies.)

- Other up-risers, aside from yourself who, just like you, start the game without any planets or very few planets of their own and pursue galactic domination as well. Making it possible to join them or make alliances with them. They would be more willing to ally with you than a larger faction. Of course it won't be likely that any of these up-risers actually defeat any particular faction, but it would really give us more options with starting our own kingdoms. Instead of pissing off the big hats, we could just use wait till these up-risers aren't looking and steal their planets, which gives us a fair start. This will make the game more interesting, watching the little guys give the massive factions a run for their money, introducing more strategies for the players to orchestrate.

I'm sure I have more ideas, but ima take a break for now. :pint:

It would be fun if u put this to Warband 1.127 version, because not many people play only mount&blade anymore.....AND I WANT TO PLAY THIS BECAUSE I HAVE ONLY WARBAND! :!: :roll:

Make sure you are using Mount & Blade and not Warband if you are using MB then you may try redownloading as that has helped me before when I had corrupted files also using a download manger seems to help eliminate these corrupted files for me.Hope this helps!!!

I love your mod! It's the best one i've ever played! But I noticed few minor things in the game considering firstly the sith hoodie (head gear). I noticed that while wearing it and riding the scalp of the character comes right through the hood so u can see it, and second the flame rifle and the other illegal wpns trader's rifle shoot exactly in the same place all the time no matter where u aim. Still the dmg is done to the place where u aimed. Two minor, a little disturbing details that got my eye. Then I have a suggestion for reverse grip lightsabers. I think that u should create completely new attacking moves for em since with the classical moves the character continuously slices himself as well as with the double bladed light saber too. In my opinion making harakiri is really a honourable way to die, but it's not very effective in combat. Again its just a minor detail but its a little disturbing. And I'd love if u could create a dual-wield system to the game; wearing reverse grip lightsaber and a normal one would be awesome. I'll be looking forward with excitement to see where the game evolves to :-D

Alright, I'm not sure if this thread is even still alive, but I got a problem. I downloaded your mod, installed it properly and everything, but when i try to load it it comes up "RGL ERROR : Unable to open file: CommonRes \costumes_a.brf"
Is this mod still working, or is it just something on my end? It's kinda killing me here.
I read all the comments, hear how great it is, and nothing, I can't play it.

ever notice how everyone who wants this mod for warband you can visualize as jumping up and down like a 5 year old? ....i thought there was an age limit on these forums :-?

I'm no longer active with this mod, but Swyter and the rest of the team are continuing to work on it. Its my understanding that they want to do a final release for M&B 1.x and then they will work on a Warband version. The best place to check for updates is probably in the forums on the ModDB page, since that is where most of them are the most active. But they often post screenshots of their current work, so this mod is still in progress as far as I'm aware.
