Description
Warsword Conquest is a mod based on Warhammer fantasy battles game by Games Workshop.
This is total conversion for Warbands 1.143 and is single player only at moment.

Me and the Warsword team have decided instead of just porting our original Warsword to warbands that we would freshen it up and make it a brand new mod.
we have moved the focus of the map and factions from the old world to another part of the warhammer world , placing the area on Lustria , Araby , the land of the dead and southlands.

This is something no one has done before not to my knowledge anyway ,no warhammer games or mods have ever explored the possibilities of these areas and the different factions of the warhammer world.

Here are some of the features you can look forward to Warsword Conquest Preview mod

7 factions each with their own new armours, items, mounts and lords these are :-
Lizardmen , Tomb Kings ,Forest Goblins , Pirates , Nippon , Southland Dwarfs and Empire.
The ability to become a player character of every faction race in the game.
New map.
New Npcs
Massive Warhammer based battle.
Revamped tournaments with special tournament characters and teams. including keep your own armour.
All new bandits including Beastmen, Gorols and Undead Pirates.
All new mercenaries including Ogres, Orcs and Grudgebringers.
Each town, village, castle has walkers of correct faction.
The player has the chance to obtain magical weapons and armour for themselves.
Sell prisoners to tavernkeeper.
Death cam and battle continues.
Sea Battles and Sea Bandits.
Build your own Outposts and Forts.
Faction patrols

First of all, great mod! I love the races and variety. I've always wanted to be a Goblin Wolfrider. Thank you guys for making it and keep up the good work. :green:

Here are some comments and bugs I've found:

Is there a way to set the race of your kingdom? I haven't found the option.

Also the companion "Bug" is bugged lol. When I talk to him, it gives me a mesh error. I can continue and use him without problems (besides an "X" being in place of his portrait), but it always gives me that error upon talking to him.

Another bug I noticed was when I made an Outpost (upgraded it to a Fort) and when I went to visit the fort, nothing was there. It just spawned my party and a bunch of people in a randomly generated open field it seemed. I started a new game and tried it again, same results, only this time I couldn't even see the outpost as they were just randomly generated open fields too. The first time I made an Outpost, It actually spawned as an Outpost and allowed me to walk around. On the new game where I tried this, it wouldn't work and when I tried to delete the Outposts my character/party would disappear with it. It wouldn't even allow me to ctrl+left click back onto the map.

The patrols from the Outpost seem to always be human, regardless of what race my character is, and I still have not found an option to change my kingdom's race.

You can demolish an outpost and rebuild as many times as you want, but once you build a Fort, it is permanent

The Fort's management options are buggy. You can't view the marketplace, unless you choose to walk into the randomly generated field and manually speak to the blacksmith, horse seller, etc.

Alike the previous versions, when you capture a castle or town, the guards default to greatswords, despite what race the player is.

Also alike the previous versions, it is impossible to recruit villagers from towns/villages you own, or your lords own. This makes it very difficult to progress as your own kingdom, especially if you chose to go to war with the faction you wish to replace. :-(

I believe when you start the game, by selecting a race and then clicking back and selecting a new race (repeating) you can get all of the races' starter gear when you spawn on the map.

Thanks Timohept for your comments and bugs you found.

There is no way to set the race of your kingdom or any new kingdom options in the mod and I'm not even sure where to start coding for it.

The Outpost is a kit OSP made by Lumos, I have not added any thing to it but just used the coding for it, we will add new scenes to it for the final version of the mod.

A new character creation will be made for the final version too.

I'm mainly a modeller and texturer and not much of a coder at all so most of the coding for the mod is from OSP kits and trial and error working so please dont expect any ground breaking coding in this mod.

Really great, I liked it but I strongly suggest to add some poleaxe from the Sherdzor (or whatever it's called) weapon pack.

Also I found a bug when you get the quest to attack friendly caravan to start war. Well the skeleton guys they dont have any caaravan except those boats on the port (that never moves). Could you make them have caravans?

Good job really :-D

Can u possibly make a Star Wars mod. not a big fan of fantasy................................... (man!)

Seriously, Great mod. I realy enjoy it. Plus, i m an old fan of Warhammer...
Little and humble suggest from sombody who doesn't know a thing about modding: ELVEN EARS (i know it sounds nerd)... just some long pointing ears in an empty helmet model and BANG! u have a high/dark/wooden elf character.

Sorry about my english... And thanks again for this preview...... waiting for the final version.

I've seen that issue with all of the caravans or whatever that use a ship. I think the issue is caused because they spawn on the water which makes them use a boat? When using a boat you can't get onto land without first choosing to "disembark". That might be why they get stuck on the shores, because they don't know how to choose to disembark.

I made a new game and it seems the outposts work fine (or at least if you only use one). Just never upgrade it to a Fort. I've not gotten the Fort to work at all. I mean you can use it, but you won't ever actually be able to see a Fort. If it gets attacked, I'm sure it will make you fight on the randomly generate hills it makes.

Hey Dell, could you include more companions in the final version? Playing as a Goblin wolfchief, I've only found a single goblin companion; Bug. (Who is bugged lol.) Additional Goblin or Orc companions would be awesome. I don't like the idea of enlisting humans or skeletons into a goblin army.

But yeah, back to playing. I'll keep updating what I find. You said you were a modeler and texturer? Well you are a damn good one. I love it.

[Edit]

I found a bug where sometimes when you are rescuing a prisoner, he becomes hostile against you and everyone else. Not only is he hostile towards everyone, the guards are hostile towards the townspeople. xD It was pretty funny, but impossible to actually kill everyone and keep the prisoner alive as he keeps bashing you in the back of the head.

Does anyone know how to marry a girl? All the faction races are defaulted to "female" and even though some of the Lady(s) are changed to male, I'm not sure how to go about marrying them. I haven't seen the option to dedicate my tournament win to them. They won't really talk to you until you get their relationship up (via tournament dedication).

Dear Creators,
I`ve played a lot and on different mods but still I found nothing better than Warsword. It`s just a fact. The new images, the different races made this mod better than the very original. It was the same with the first Mount&Blade Warsword and it`s the same with Warband. How many games offer the player to play as Skeleton or mighty Orc? Or even to ride skeleton mount, huge wolf or war boar? It isn`t a surprise that this game /with the mods, of course/ is still favoured instead many newer games. Not even a little bit! And with each additional but different race this mod will became even better. The more non-human races - the better. I can only hope to play as Orc, Skaven or Demon. And why not a Werewolf, for example? Or any other evil looking non-human person. I`m too bored from the human heroes while there are so many far more interesting /and better looking/ ones.
Personally, I`m against the addition of the firearms since it`s still "Mount and Blade" not "Mount and Musket, laser or bazooka", but those who are capable to perform such beautiful mod deserve to create it as they see fit. For them, not for me. And honestly, I`m more than happy for the implementation for my personal number one favourites - the Undead.
Fortunatey, the mod lack the super, ultra, hyper powerfull weapons and armors /I played it only for two days up to the moment/ and I found it very commendable and appropriate for the game ballance. It`s still v. 1.0 so perhaps there are plans for more diplomacy or trade options in the future, for which we all must be gratefull and patient. Even as it is the mod is very stable and enjoyable. Such hard work completely deserve the highest possible evaluation. After all who else offered us /the playes/ not some petty British or Irish troops but entirely new species?

Sincerely yours
V.

Actually I found a merchant who sell beautifull but too powerfull weapons. I really hope, for the sake of game ballance, that in the final release the weapon statistics will be lowered about those of the normal weapons. Their design is lovely indeed, but super items could easily ruin the whole game.

I`ve tried to build an outpost. It took my money but when I choose the option to enter in it I found my group on bare hill with nothing arround. Not even wooden palisade. The upgrade to the "fort" also had no visible improvement. At least for now. I`ll be waiting for the full version of this mod. I`m sured that it will worth it.
On the other the idea is very potent. Such construction could became a powerfull base for any adventurer who doesn`t want to join any faction but to became a king. Or not. Anyway, the possibility to build your own fortress on chosen location is excellent. B-)
