You can add or change stuff to it with a map editor like Thorgims, its very buggy but as long as your careful it can be helpful, you can get it here - http://www.mbrepository.com/file.php?id=90

It requires at least the trial version of normal mount and blade, copy the map.txt from the japan zip to the native folder and edit away, constantly save.

To get the Japanese map back just copy and replace maps.txt and parties.txt. Parties.txt controls the city names and other things.

It was probably just a random bug, restarting the game can sometimes fix that, or restart your modem & router, the servers are up.

I have several times. the first was soon after the fief was taken, I got nothing. I figured it might take a week for them to reappear then tried it again, still nothing, I just randomly ask the traveller when I see him in taverns now, I have plenty more companions so it isn't that much of a problem since they were low level.

So... I'm going with the "They were killed" theory, it makes more sense then the "They vanished into thin air" theory.

Many thanks for the improvements in 1.8. The different factions soldiers are equipped with the appropriate armors and weapons. :-D
I found however that the archers have no other statistics except one handed weapons. Khergit doesn`t have lancers any more, those "Khergit Spearmens" are actually no-dachi infanties. Shinobi have only one line of upgrade up to "ansatsunin", their lords have "commander" or "footman", "veteran footman", "archer" but the single players have none of them. The Angry Farmers looks like partly disarmed, with less armor. Shogunate and Tenbatsu are fine, with both infantry and cavalry units, Samurai Rebels are still without any cavalry like Nords, but with mercenary units is still bearable. Total three playable factions for single player: Tenbatsu, Shogunate and Samurai Rebels.

ONE REALLY UNPLEASANT SURPRISE :cry: - the imported character losses ALL achery points! I played with my charachter up to level 31 then I exported it and imported in new game. From 327 points from archery it had only those that I put on character creation screen (for the current example literaly 15 points!).lThose for trowing are still kept, for crossbows I still don`t know. This thing I saw for the first time.

Since my character had 30 points of Agility I put some points on Athletics with the idea to outrun every enemy but even with 10 points I saw not even the smallest effect. With 30 agility points and 10 athletic points its impossible to run out from any enemy. The weapon speed doesn`t change at all, actually two-handed weapons are faster than one-handed. Strange, isn`t it? With 10 points of Riding or with 1 the horse speed and maneuver are the same. With the Dragon bow there is no use of any other bow, 10 points of Power Draw mean nothing, the strongest bow have 8 requisition (and even with that is less powerfull than Dragon bow, ugh!). With 10 points of Loothing the best loot was sturdy gusoku armor with 40 body 8 legs armor points. Shield skill look useles, no effect at all. Which I saw and with the original campaign but I hoped to see some positive changes with the mods of the more skilled creators.

In the end with all forementioned the mod is still more than good.

While playign this i was thinking... Can you change the 3d models of the towns? too look like Nord towns it feels more asian cause of the wood instead of big medieval europe style also castles can you change them to wooden castles? Awsome mod though can be improved but its an exelent start :)

...that requires redoing every castle siege scene that has stone walls and such, an arduous task to say the least and very time consuming if it's even possible to do it correctly without bugs in the scenes.

The last thing anyone wants is when they're charging an enemy on the wall is to fall through the wall into the empty oblivion thats under the ground, or slam into the ground and get stuck 'in' the wall. - although it is quite amusing when you think about it. :p

Please put zombies in single player because even though the the game is amazing you put the zombies faction and i was so disapointed they were not there.
also make them available by buying some kind of items to make them like mystical things or something >:)
this came to me after seeing the description of solid and shade........for regular MNB.
p.s. make the zombies faction stronger in multiplayer, its a slaughter fest for all other factions

I was very disappointed as well, it turns out to be a lot of work to get them to work in SP since they are a new faction and not an existing one, plus having a zombie faction doesnt making sense, bandits fit them more, but I'll try and look into it more in the future.

Onin No Ran I believe proivded a lot of the models.

Yeah I Know Onin no Ran provided the majority. But I was referring to some models that were there pre 1.8, back in version 0.9 to 0.98. Im pretty sure they werent made by the Onin no Ran team

Most are from onin no ran. From Kengeki's start (I assume) to 0.95 it was Yuias who then gave permission to this band of modders, who implemented in alot of stuff that they created or got permission to use. (Read the Credits, it's right on top.)

Whatever is used inside from anyone but these guys.... its in the credits.

And if you wanted that answer then you should have been more specific the first time. People can't read minds.

- can you as a modder or any other modder make a mod including the ancient Egyptian civilization (the Pharaohs), Romans , Nubians (Kingdom of Kush) and

I've been kind of gathering materials for a Roman mod, I think it would be awesome to have a gladiator style mod, very highly detailed shields and weapons, Roman time period...chariots maybe...
