This is an early version of a mod set during the 11th century Norman invasion of Sicily, pitting Duke Robert the Cunning ("Guiscard") against a federation of Arab emirs. Berbers and Byzantines also make an appearance.

This version adds an experimental sea battle, some Islamic architecture, new shields and armours, and some other stuff.

  • There are some new models, scenes and textures, and of course a new map, troop types, etc. The game also borrows the combat system from 1066. It should have a much more early medieval feel than the Native.

Right now, the best way to play the game is to disregard the quests (which are the same as Native) and dive into the battles which should be breaking out all over the middle of the map by the second day. Don't worry about levelling up -- you start out with decent weapons and enough money to hire a small band of followers, enough to tip the balance of key battles and grab a bit of loot.
