Nirecotive is a Native compatible mod, which modifies various scripts in Warband. Nirecotive only modifies the .txt files, so it should be compatible with most if not all of graphic and/or sound enhancement mods. Or anything else which doesn't touch the scripts. However, it is not compatible with admin tools, because Nirecotive in itself also works as admin tools in addition to other features it provides.

This module has been running on ZHG servers now for over a year, while getting updates every now and then. The module will also continue to be hosted there.

The module provides most when both, the server and the client has the module. However, even just one of them will also provide new features. If you have the module on your client, it allows you to for example friend mark players, select players from score board and remembers the equipment for each trooptype during your session. Having the module only on the server and admins will allow for example: some admin tools, players can use empty handed gift, modified autobalance can be used, uniforms work and custom rotation for maps can be set. And having the module on both server and client will allow much more features.

About all the settings can be set on or off from admin panel, so you can make the module look almost like Native when it is running on the server.

There had been some pause in releasing a client version of the module due to some stability issues. Now the stability issues are gone and I decided to release the "full" version, meaning that all the features can be hosted.

three useful tools are included in the zip packet. First, MapPackApplier for adding custom maps. MapPackApplier works also with other already compiled modules. Second, Nirecotive default setter to set the default values for variables used by Nirecotive (currently called newniriniter.py). Last, Barrel Script is built into Nirecotive to allow scripted maps to function.

server side fix for ctf spawning.

Edit 2.5.1 to 2.5.3:
Small change to ctf spawns
Custom maps default to pollable
Option for admins to be able to poll for incompatible maps
Spawn mode to spawn in any spawn point

Edit 3.0.4:
Ported to 1.151, though not much needed.
Minor admins not included due to messy code breaking it.
Some other changes.
Documentation is somewhat outdated, but I don't feel like wanting to update it...
There is no available M&B version 1.151 in my choices, so leaving as 1.143. And actually this works in 1.143 too.

Edit 3.1.0:
Ported to 1.153 (still no 1.153 in the warband version dropbox)
Most notably, this will contain the new scene props required for the new maps in warband 1.153.

Edit 3.2.0:
Ported to 1.157 (no 1.157 or even 1.153 in the version dropdown)
This version is not properly compatible with 1.153 servers due to faction troop id changes.
Also, Nirecotive 3.1.X are not compatible with 1.157 servers due to the same reason.
Nirecotive falls to the "1.153 was already good" side of the coin.
- Archer athletics are reverted to the 1.153 level.
- Vaegir archer can buy scimitar for free, if the client understands it (I hope to improve the scimitar fix to some other form in the future).
- Price changes are in consideration, as they would cause inconsistencies with Native clients.
At the time of upload, the 3.2.0 is not properly tested, but the changes were small, so it should work (and thanks for testing it for me).

Edit 3.2.3:
Changed scimitar fix to a different one. (Unfortunately caused some issues for people playing with 3.2.0, which I noticed somewhat late).
Made a soft move for Brunwud flag to be a bit further from the keep doors.

Edit 3.2.4:
Door ff not applied to bows and crossbows. Purely server side change.

hello,
i host this mod, but i can't change nothing !
it just starts in afternoon but when i acess to change it, or make raining or snowing, just has the buttom back and when i back, still nothing changed,
please help me

I decided that the weather is not too valuable feature and set it as free. After updating to version 2.0.8, you should be able to modify weather settings. Note that to see the weather correctly, the map needs to change after setting the weather; or you need to join the server twice, if you are joining it.

Non-free features are now marked more clearly.

sorry, I am not currently willing to release the full version. But you still got the weather effects, if that was what you wanted.

Hey.

I must say this mod is quite a fine piece. I've decided to use this mod on our fresh tdm server Clan_Cameron.
However, i have these few questions..

Is the "Nirecotive default setter" supposed to be included in the latest version?
I couldn't find it. Would surely make it easier to admin the server, since the map rotation cycle tends to get messed everytime i change the scene manually.

Another question is about the weather.. I'd like to have random weather, but without any rain.
If i disable random weather, the sun position doesn't ever change.
I'd only like the sun position to change randomly..
I suppose you never coded the possibility to have random weather without rain, but is there a possibility to completely disable the weather system, so that the sun position would be as it was made to be in the scene.
Since i don't want to have rain, i now have to adjust the "round day time" manually to get some changes on the sun position.

Hope you can answer these.

It seems that the name has changed at some point and the current tool is called newniriniter.py. It should be included in the Tools.zip within the Nirecotive zip. newnirvars.txt contains the definitions for the values and the tool writes an initialization script based on those. The map rotation defining tools are a bit lacking, so you probably want to set 0 to persistent game type. That should tell it to use Native rotation defined in server configuration file.

Has been a long time since I touched the random weather code. The controls for the randomisation definitely seems lacking.

The sun position doesn't get saved to the scene by the editor. Or at least I have the impression that it doesn't. Might be also good to know that NativeNative clients will always see the typical midday with no rain. In addition, anyone joining in the middle of map might see something else, as the weather information is sent at the end of previous round due to some issues.
