One of the best for sure. A bit unrealistic though.. I mean come, legendary ice weapons and huge prehistoric barbarian war axes? Come one padawan.

Wait for the next patch. Hopefully it will address some crashing problems, as well as the constant error messages.

This was very good to play.

Pros
1. large map lots of factions.
2. fun to play
3. Lots of weapons and armor.
4. You could hire help to run your kingdom while you go out and conquer.
5.I did not get a lot of errors or crashes

Cons. >:(
1. Some concepts confused me - the book merchant sold dictatorship and several other books that were not stats
2. making lords out of you party members. Once you made them lords they would never show up to there land. You would see their picture as you approach their land but that is it. Also I notice once you gave them the land, they would not change to a new banner but keep yours.
3. Becoming a King yourself. you could not change to a different color. At least i found no option to change colors. I was tan along with another nation.
4. too many troops in the tavern. At least that is what i think. One time i went into a tavern there were 73 troops wanting to join me would not have been so bad if there all didnt decided to show up at the tavern at the same time. LOL

what would send this mod over the top; :hammer:
1. more buildings for towns and cities because income is a problem.
2. limit the amount of screen chatter. I do not need to know what other kingdoms are doing aside besieges and attacks/captures (also the notes are so faded i could not even see them id just get scrolled notes that i could not see to read)

That is all i noticed. the map is very nice looking. :-P

I getting a bug, when one of my companions return from a diplomatic mission he/she can't rejoin my party. Also if you click "Reports" next to the companions that are send on missions, it says "whereabouts unknown". Finally, when I give land to one of my companions to make him/her lord or Lady, they get to own the land but they do not appear anywhere and after some time they try to rejoin my party. Did anybody else experienced any of these errors.

Fantastic mod, but i have a problem...
I get this error:
SCRIPT ERROR ON OPCODE 521: INVALID PARTY ID: 1000; LINE NO:20:
At script: Cf_select_most_profitable_town_at_peace_with_faction_in_treade_route.

It comes out every two minutes and it doesn't let me see the message of the game. Is the someone who know's how to resolve it?

First of all, thanks. This mod is G-R-E-A-T and got me playing Warband again.

Now for the less happy things, some things I noticed when playing the latest version:

The NPC Lords, when upgrading equipment: You can see some strange console text in the message area, as if you had cheat mode on.
"Lord Whoeverhewas trying to equip thisorthat with x diff y" or something in that direction. (The 'x' and 'y' are always some number, they seem to vary.)
Same thing when upgrading NPCs in your party.

Also, about the bodyguards: I recruited a bunch of White Wolves to be my bodyguard. Upon entering a tavern after that, it was quite difficult to move, with the 12 Wolves standing at the doorway before me. As you might have guessed, I fired the bodyguards and added them to my party like normal.
Another thing is that the bodyguards I got from the Lord of the Faction when becoming a vassal were lost when I got knocked out in combat about 10mins later (not a bandit ambush, but an actual battle). So they didn't really get to do much. But the idea of them helping you in those annoying ambushes is great.

The last thing is, about the great new feature, the "background story" - if you join another faction than which was your birthplace, it gets switched to the one you are currently in.

If you've got any ideas how to fix these issues, I'd be glad; I can't always be sure if it's not just some random bug or issue on my end. And if they're in the mod itself, well, maybe you can do something to them now that you know about them ;)

But please, do keep up the good work. "The child of a modder and beer" is just awesome. :pint:

Sorry, but the background story isn't really supposed to be anything other than determining what equipment and stats you start out with. It uses some of the same global variables that gets used later in the game. I'll think about reducing the number that spawns when you enter a non-battle scene. You might get more error messages about most profitable town to trade after a week or so until I upload a newer version.

When i played der reich, the emperor wanted me to become hes vassal so i saddled my horse and rode out, but i then got a faily odd dialogue, where he asked me to pledge allegiance to the queen, and he called me marque or something like that, ugh. i think i got another factions dialogue instead, the one with a queen. Even said id receive a different town than the one i did receive. Im also plagiued with constant red error messages that takes up almost the whole screen. Besides that things seem to work pretty nice. Love the mod by the way, just hope the issues can be smoothed out. :)

See my post above regarding the error message. I've never gotten around to testing the vassalage sequence where you're actually offered vassalage (by menu/messenger notification), so thanks for reporting it. The same variable that determines your background history is the same as the one that decides which factional oath to use during dialogs.

Came across one more thing, after i load a savegame i seem to not get any more messages of any kind, like messages abouth alliances on the overland map or combat messages when i fight, they just all vanish. I havent tested this exclusively, but figured id mention it. Maybe something with windows 7-64 bit. /shrugs
