Description
This is a Mod set in 9th century england for the warband expansion.

9 Factions
-The Church
-Mercia
-Wessex
-Scots
-Irish Principalities
-Welsh Principalities
-Picts
-Northumbria
-Danes

-All new troop trees.
-New Map
-OSP Armours and Weapons

Thanks to everyone who contributes to the OSP and to Morgh for his Modding tools which have been a big help.

Known Bugs:
-Do not choose "take a ship edinburgh" in the opening menu. For whatever reason the merchant does not appear and you become stuck in the opening battle sequence. I do not know what causes this but I am still working on it.

-Error message comes up as soon as you start a new game. I am working to fix it but so far it does not affect gameplay.

New version just released. All new items list. Hundreds of new viking era weapons and armors, most from Ruthven's ROY mod. Fixed a few bugs but many still exist please let me know if you find them. However I have tested this pretty extensively, currently on day 121 and have not run into any bugs that affect significantly gameplay.

Original items list numbered 601. New items list numbers 838. All 237 of the new items are viking era weapons and armor.

So when I said hundreds I guess I meant 237, which technically is hundreds.

Now it's clear, when i played a bit longer, i saw these items!

Where are crossbows: automatic, semi-automatic, manual, arrow folows its target? :D

But some merchant trade, viking era, items where without "meshes". ( In the list - without picture, OnClick = Some sort of error )

Yes unfortunately a few of the items do not have the correct textures.

If your in need of help for this mod, feel free to ask me. I know a few things although I'm far from an expert working with Mount&Blade. I mostly do mods for TES and BioWare.

This mod is great. There's quite a bit of detail put into this.
However, my only complaint is that some of the armors are poorly colored.

And I've only found one bug: Some of the villages in the grassy areas (such as Ireland) are set in the desert. It sort of ruins the immersion.
If you could fix that bug, and recolor some of the neon armors, that would make this mod amazing.

Anyways, nice job mate. Cheers! :pint:

Nice work on this mod. The map is well done, and I can tell there was a lot of effort put into this.

Only problem I have with this mod is a few castles have a "viking_mesh" or something like that and whenever I go into one with that mesh, it crashes me to the desktop. It's very annoying as I love to go inside castles and it's also annoying because you can't go to a feast at a town or castle with that mesh. Please fix this as soon as you can.
Oh, and I don't particularly like the bright red or bright yellow armor variations. If you could tone down the colors, that would be good.

Thanks. Keep up the good work.

You sure can. I have Warband on Steam and I always keep my games updated. Sword Song works like a charm.

This mod is very, very good. It's a real breath of fresh air.

I really appreciate the hours of work that you must have put in, but having said that I have to add that I really hope that you are going to finish it, you are about 2 heartbeats away from a mod that rivals the native one.

There are a couple of small bugs, some of the weapon meshes are missing, one or two of the dayglo colors on the armor and equipment need to be toned down, a few names need changing, the haircuts on some of the NPCs (Khergits eek).

I so enjoy the new companion characters and all that needs to be done here is to remove all the dialogue connections to the original characters upon which they were based. If all the original characters could be replaced that would be supercool.

There are one or two glitches regarding crossing bridges but I am sure you are aware of them.

It really is such an excellent module, like I said I really hope that you can find the time to complete it because it deserves it, I would have paid money for it, that's how good it is.

Thank you

Meredith

P.S. And an option to remove the interaction between the companions would be awesome.

P.P.S. I am making good money in selling the Christian nutters, but you really need to change the dialogue options here too :-D

Great Mod, Im really enjoying it, but i would like to point out that many armors (such as scottish tartan) have very dark look. as in totally black and it looks strange. thanks :D

I've been looking for a mod that does things for Vikings in Mount & Blade, being of Viking (Norwegian, Swedish and Dane, all 1,200 years ago) descent myself. I'm going to check this one out, and I've got some high hopes.
