DISCLAIMER!
This mod is not made by me. Credits go to: YoshiBoy, Ursca, Weren, Gutekfiutek, Dain, Highelf, Faradon, Benedict and all the IRC crew. Please tell me if I have forgotten someone.

After a series of wolf attacks in remote towns and villages, teams of huntsmen have been hired to deal with the menace. Unbeknownst to the hunters, these are no ordinary wolves...

A multiplayer mod for Warband.

Features:

* 2 new game modes - Hunt and Hunting Party
* New environments courtesy of Gutekfiutek
* New music courtesy of Pagan
* Two factions, the Beasts and the Hunters
* Specially designed maps
* A mini-map 'sniffing' feature for beasts, activated by pressing backspace.
* Howling and taunting, activated by pressing 'o', which, in the beast's case, also heals them.


Version 1.2 changelog

* 3 new maps
* Randomised beasts
* A new hat for Hunters
* Howling regenerates a beast's health
* A new mode - Hunting Party (similar to battle)
* Unequal autobalance
* Some slight rebalancing
* Fall damage disabled

Version 1.3 changelog

* Much darker nights
* Torches for hunters
* Weather and Time of Day that changes per map
* Fixed Jumphowling, Water death in Dungeon and a couple other bugs
* IRC channel can broadcast messages to server
* A couple other tweaks.

Hi Lord Benrir,
i'm from Italy and very found of M&B.
I think you did a good job with HUNT.
Also with GUNS, MUSIC, SOUNDS, ENVIROMENT ETC ETC.
I'd like to ask you some more things and hope you could make them:

-new HUNT single player version for WB...I love the kicking action, shoot or melee option for guns and other features of WB.
Could you develope the old Liberty or Death for 1011 m&B using your textures and add english, franch and american uniform....Old frontier indians like Hurons, Mohicans from basic kergit khanate textures
-Improve missions like surching more than 1 man in the villages or towns (they can also hide and shoot at you when you enter the location, even in towns and castles) or over a running carriage or leading Pioneers, Cows, Horses in a REAL MAP, from point A to point B, going through woods, rivers, hills, while
fighting Indians, bandits or enemies, loosing the least lives/animals you can.
And start a farmer activity,? Why dont you make a big standalone map
PLAYABLE in real time with locations like in Gun Activision with
1 town, 1 or 2 villages, 1 or 2 indian villages, 2 farm locations where you could start a farmer activity?
-Characters from movies and comics to impersonate (The last of mohicans, Roger's rangers, or having your own DOG like Rintintin or Lassie and own horse you can call whisseling or make attack with orders,etc)
-American revolution war battles (good battle structures from russia 1917) with usable cannons, and ships. Even for multiplayer you could just do English red jackets army using your textures but red....and American or french blue.
-Hunting locations with buffalos. deers but also wild animals like wolves, coguars, and you'll never know when you enter these hunting locations what you are going to face(even Indians and bandits or enemies ambushing...!) . Just put a Hunting Location Sign....enter at your own risk!!!
-beeing able to hide from enemies and more rocks bushes, hiding things. i dont like for enemies or beasts to always be able to find you in towns or wilderness. For this reason would be nice to be able to lay down (see China Btlfield)
-Tavern fights with guns and hand to hand combacts (fists and kicks) with breackeble items (tables, chairs)
An Old Frontier Mod in the 1700's, between The Last of the Mohincans period and Indipendence war....You can work on the 1011 m&b Liberty or death MOD or WB Musket Battalion and put the "fitting" items and textures there...., I LOVE THIS PERIOD OF FREEDOM AND ENTHUSIASM-

If you looked at the version number you'd see that it is not for the current version, thus it will not work.

Now I have uploaded the new version, but I forgot to include the instructions.
They are pretty simple, though, so here we go:

Extract the Hunt folder from the archive to:

C:\Programfiles\mountblade warband\Modules

Or if you use Steam: C:\Programfiles\Steam\SteamApps\common\mountblade warband\Modules

Hey! Just to help anyone trying to figure out why this won't install (with the new .exe version), here's why: It warned you that it can't find the Warband directory (and I think even mentioned Steam), and will not install into the steamapps/common/mountblade warband/ folder. It will create a /Program files (x86)/Mount&Blade Warband/ folder and install it there. Lord Benrir, you might wanna take a look at the installer settings.

Just thought I'd throw my resolution out there.


Edit: Whoa, sorry about that. Suppose I'll go look for where I got the installer from XD

This isn't an installer. It's a Rar Archive with the folder for people who have trouble with the installer.

EDIT I: I have just downloaded the mod myself to make sure, and everything seems to be alright. (For a moment I was afraid that I'd accidentally uploaded the installer!)

No problem. The official link is an installer, but this upload shows up before the official one when searching at the repository.

Maybe it's an issue with my version of Warband but the game now appears to be so dark that it is barely playable :/
Is there a way to select day or night time at least?

Huge bugs:
  1. Every time someone shoots, I get a script error about player id 0 and 3 more lines pop up about a script network error. I can't see the left half of my screen.
  2. Apparently fog gets ridiculously heavy, though I've not had the time to see it for myself yet. Only got on for a few secs to take a look at the update.
I'm thinking a quickfix will soon be in the works..

Sorry mate, but I think it's the darker nights from the new version. You could try increasing the brightness of your screen, though.

And to HptmSteinHauer. Thanks for reporting! But those bugs have already been mentioned at the Taleworlds thread and I think that the developers are taking care of it for the next version.

I dare say lighting effects are unexpectedly good looking that way ^^

Nevertheless a day/night (/dawn/evening?) option setting might be appreciated, I'll post that on the forum :]
