Description
9 castles that resemble historic castles from Britain. They replace native castles in single player.
For details read the included 'readme'. Free for anyone to use - specifically for mods that take place in Britain around the years 1066-1400.
See homepage for screenshots and descriptions.

Version 1.1:
Includes 3 new castles: Llansteffan, Beaumaris and Conwy.
Minor adjustments to some of the scenes.

Version 1.2:
NO NEW CASTLES!
Just a little update fixing some minor issues, mostly graphical.
Most noticeably the spawn point of besiegers in Beaumaris castle has been moved, and an AI barrier removed so troops can leave the castle down the siege ladder.
All scenes have been changed a little, so I suggest replacing them all.

Guard units has dropped from the space of gate though York Castle was attacked.
Is it the one that dependence for the combat also enjoys the sight?

Anyway, it is a remarkable piece of work :-)

I'm sorry, poor english post :-(

Thank you for the feedback iggy_jpn.
I'm guessing it's a bug when you say "guard units dropped". Where exactly does that happen? A screenshot would be great.
Your English is not so good so I'm not sure I understand.

Thank you very much iggy_jpn.

Unfortunately that is a problem with the gatehouse model and not something I can change.
I can however put a plank or something to cover the slot - especially since there's no gate (which the slot is meant for).
Thanks again.

This Mod is just BEGGING to have the maximum number of troops in battle raised. With yards as big as the ones in these MODs, it could accommodate thousands!

Will you be attempting any castles from any other time, such as some famous German ones?

Only British castles interest me.
I have made 3 more castles that will be in the next release (1.1), as soon as the patch is officially released.
In the meantime I'm working on scenes for Brytenwalda mod (not released yet). You can see some screenshots here (page 2 & 3):

I probably won't be making more castles for this project but I can't say for sure.

*Lifts Cup of Kvass to Adorno*

I just installed your brilliant mod, and had to come back and express my admiration. It looks like you really put some time and attention to detail into your work. Not only historically accurate but easy to install. No noticeable bugs, runs smooth. Thank you for adding a terrific dimension to WB. Will look forward to seeing more of your work in times to come.

Cheers,

Duke William of Lancaster
