1. Features

As vassal
  • Persuasion attempts to convince your king to start a war
  • Appoint a chamberlain, who will decrease tax inefficiency by 10% and give you the ability to set tax rates. This gives you a possiblity to influence center relation and prosperity. In addition he will take care of paying wages and collecting income as well as giving you the ability to secure your money
  • Let your companions pick items from the chamberlain item pool (autoloot)
  • Appoint a constable who recruits and trains troops and provides information about garrisons and troops of lords.
  • Send patrols to important locations
  • Appoint a chancellor who sends gifts to lords, settlements or ladies and messengers to lords
  • Village and town riots may occure if the people hate you and have to pay high tax rates. Counter them or negotiate with the leader.
  • Let your spouse buy some food (I know, it has nothing to do with diplomacy but it's fun :green:)
  • Pay staff salary (you knew that a woman will cost money before you married her :P)
  • Troops will start running away if you go into debts
  • Return fiefs to your king, he won't like this, though
  • Move your residence (via spouse)
  • Negotiate Mid-siege surrender/walk-out terms if defending your own keeps and towns
  • Affiliate to families
  • Send scouts to settlements
  • Pay to avoid defeat

As king
  • Threaten other kingdoms with war and try to squeeze money out of them
  • If a faction sues for peace you will have the option to set terms
  • Possiblity to send a gift to another faction (fief or money)
  • Send a spy to another kingdom
  • Form an alliance, conclude a defensive pact, sign a trade agreement or conclude a non-aggression treaty with another faction.
  • Change the domnestic policy of your kingdom. Choose between Centralization/Decentralization, Aristocracy/Plutocracy, Serfdom/Free subjects, Quality/Quantity which affects trade income, vassals armies size, AI army strength, relation between king and vassals as well as tax inefficiency
  • When asking for a truce you will get the option to pay and/or give fiefs to conclude a truce.
  • If another faction recognizes you as king you will have the option to ask for help against your enemy and in certain circumstances support the decision by paying money.
  • Choose your faction culture so all your lords will recruit the same type of troops
  • Exchange or relase your (own) prisoners
  • Distribute spoils of war after you conquered a town or castle
  • Send emissaries to persuade lords to join your kingdom



Misc/Technical
  • Mod works with native save games.
  • Battle continuation and free death cam
  • Amount of recruits available in villages will depend on honour, renown, being owner, being king, domnestic policies (since 3.0)
  • Horses will become slower if they are wounded
  • new visual presentation of faction relations

2. Installation guide
  1. If an update to a new Mount&Blade version is included delete the Diplomacy folder under 'Mount & Blade Warband/modules'
  2. Download the installer (Diplomacy_v4.x.exe)
  3. Run the installer
  4. After starting Mount&BladeWarband select the module "Diplomacy" and enjoy.

Do You mind if i use Diplomacy in a mod i plan on using? Figured it better to ask before i started tearing into it.

If you want an idea its probably going to include Diplomacy, Spak Items, Kengeki *updated versions if at all possible, for kengeki anyway*
  • New Factions or if not then renamed
  • Tweaking of Faction Colors
  • Tweaking of Village/Town Relations etc including party morale issues. So siege your heart out gods of war!
  • Possibly more tweaks relating to troops & their equipment/stats etc. LORDS WILL BE HARDER THEN HELL
  • Starting Equipment will be godly for good reason. Your armor/weapons are nothing to kings. lords have worse stuff then you but they will still be very hard to kill both due to stats and armor.
  • You will start with some troops at your disposal but! you will have a negative relation with the Khergit Khan so you can start a kingdom right off the bat, NOTE:: the relation will not be enough for them to attack you every 5 seconds, but just enough maybe like -10 so that you can besiege them. You start with 200-300, well havnt gotten there yet because im just starting at modding so i cant script and dont know how to change dialog yet. so i can only set it to one faction and one set of troops anyone willing to help can be given some credit in the mod because their just that cool.

game is fun but id be cool if the kings had their own kids so you can marry in and get a better claim to throne

oh and are sea raiderz come cuz they arent showing up at all

Maby an idears for the mod. (alot) cant stop:

Every faction has its Special troop Vagies "marksmen" swadians "knights" and so on.

*Maby it could be like this in you kan premote a soldier "hero" to be your general in war.
Or maby other sorts of general "just one at the time"

You can then talk to him and ask do you think we should attack "fortress" answer They have 300 ´Vagies marksmen and that is the most feard archers i surgest we use this type ***** of troop against them.

He will stand in the fortress when you are there ofcourse and he will follow you in Party! note he must be expensive and must have 7 or so in Tactics
It should be possible to say go attack ***** fortress take 20 artchers 50 knights and so on "if leadership aprroves it"

Maby a posibility of making tacticks with your general will conduct with your army "Basic ones" like infantry in the middel Cavalry flank left/right Archers flank left/right the more expereiance your general has the more/more advanced manouvers

A function that allows you to make practies battels with your own army "makes 50/50% battles gives a bonus "days training" When the training is done it has turned from noon to afternoon. and so on

This is the hardest one make your own Special troop only avalible when king and verry expensive,.

It judt ends with an error, It always happends after i click somthing and then it crashs

Ill Look forward to this mod :) I am playing thi dip version right now and I am glad it adds alot of gametime into the game. So the mod should make it even better :) but If you need a tester just send me an mail :D

I love the mod, Only have one problem though. I was running low on money, so I decided to dismiss my Constable. Is there a way to re-hire him? If not, I think there should be a way to hire another. Or possibly just re-hire the same one. Other then that I have had no problems with the mod. Please answer back when you can.

Is there anyway to get a companion back from spying a kingdom if they are caught. I tryed asking travelers and randsom brokers, but they have nothing about him. He's not a prisoner, so is he dead or something?

Hello,

I'm not a forum kinda guy and Iv only been exploring mods in the last month or so.

All other mods I have tried have worked but with this I have an issue.

I use the installer, I go ingame (to my Native save transferred) I then get the option to choose noble to manage me fiefs (because iv got alot), so its all fine, then I go to any city, castle or village and if I press "Enter" or "tavern" ect it kicks me from game and says it's not working!

Iv tried placing a native folder in there and also copying the contents of Native direct to copy over the Diplomacy files but the same result.

I have the required version ect ect.

Please help me! I have play Pelopennesian War with the Diplo mod attatched and I think its great!

When i go to the auto-upgrade section for heroes, for weapons at the bottom it says, pistols, muskets...are there firearms in this version or is it just for other mods?

I really enjoy the mod. For some reason however whenever I enter I siege battle and/or try and walk through a city all of the buildings do not appear and I am left on an open grassy plain. If its a battle, all of the soldiers drop in on top of one another and begin fighting. If I am walking around the city, the townspeople are all gathered together in the center of a field. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

I like your mod much and I think it is the best mod ever done , but I wish if there were an illustration for what are the new points the mod contains .Finally I would like to say " go on .you are the best.".

I would like to suggest some points to be added to your mod such like :

#As a king or a vassal I would be able to :
-give the bandits bribes to stop attacking my caravans or
to increase their attacks on the caravans or the lords of another faction
-send spies to cause conflicts between the lords of a faction or rebel their king
-order parties to lay a siege on castles and towns
-marry more than one wife
-have sons and daughters after my marrige
-get dual challenge with any lord without getting bad relations with him
-companions can be garrisoned in castles and cities
-prisoners(lords) can join your faction as to be free
