1. Features

As vassal
  • Persuasion attempts to convince your king to start a war
  • Appoint a chamberlain, who will decrease tax inefficiency by 10% and give you the ability to set tax rates. This gives you a possiblity to influence center relation and prosperity. In addition he will take care of paying wages and collecting income as well as giving you the ability to secure your money
  • Let your companions pick items from the chamberlain item pool (autoloot)
  • Appoint a constable who recruits and trains troops and provides information about garrisons and troops of lords.
  • Send patrols to important locations
  • Appoint a chancellor who sends gifts to lords, settlements or ladies and messengers to lords
  • Village and town riots may occure if the people hate you and have to pay high tax rates. Counter them or negotiate with the leader.
  • Let your spouse buy some food (I know, it has nothing to do with diplomacy but it's fun :green:)
  • Pay staff salary (you knew that a woman will cost money before you married her :P)
  • Troops will start running away if you go into debts
  • Return fiefs to your king, he won't like this, though
  • Move your residence (via spouse)
  • Negotiate Mid-siege surrender/walk-out terms if defending your own keeps and towns
  • Affiliate to families
  • Send scouts to settlements
  • Pay to avoid defeat

As king
  • Threaten other kingdoms with war and try to squeeze money out of them
  • If a faction sues for peace you will have the option to set terms
  • Possiblity to send a gift to another faction (fief or money)
  • Send a spy to another kingdom
  • Form an alliance, conclude a defensive pact, sign a trade agreement or conclude a non-aggression treaty with another faction.
  • Change the domnestic policy of your kingdom. Choose between Centralization/Decentralization, Aristocracy/Plutocracy, Serfdom/Free subjects, Quality/Quantity which affects trade income, vassals armies size, AI army strength, relation between king and vassals as well as tax inefficiency
  • When asking for a truce you will get the option to pay and/or give fiefs to conclude a truce.
  • If another faction recognizes you as king you will have the option to ask for help against your enemy and in certain circumstances support the decision by paying money.
  • Choose your faction culture so all your lords will recruit the same type of troops
  • Exchange or relase your (own) prisoners
  • Distribute spoils of war after you conquered a town or castle
  • Send emissaries to persuade lords to join your kingdom

Misc/Technical
  • Mod works with native save games.
  • Battle continuation and free death cam
  • Amount of recruits available in villages will depend on honour, renown, being owner, being king, domnestic policies (since 3.0)
  • Horses will become slower if they are wounded
  • new visual presentation of faction relations

Are there any special requirements to appoint a chancellor? I get a chamberlain and a constable, but when I ask the wife to recruit another staff member and she asks me what kind, my answer is "none".

Question is: bug or feature? Or did I make a mistake? I am a Rhodok vassal (1 castle 2 villages).

You will find the answer in the FAQ

oh  sorry for the noob question

Hey, I really admire your work, but I notice you update very frequently.

Would you please tell us what new thing you've implemented each time you update so we know exactly what we're downloading, and whether or not it's worth interrupting a major campaign you've started on one of your previous installments? :-P

For instance, what's changed that merits the jump to v 2.0? Just asking, I'll probably be shown up for the noob I am lol.

This mod was fun for a long time. But it got old quickly. Why? I'll explain.

1.) How to get Lords to help defend your Kingdom is never explained. I still don't know how to recruit new lords. There was a mod for the original Mount & Blade that let you create Lords on demand. I like that - do a system like that. Because whatever the current system is, it sucks. Badly.

2.) The patrols are weak as hell. I was defending my Kingdom 100% alone because my patrols were getting ran over by groups of Steppe Bandits and Sea Raiders. Not even to mention what happened when an enemy army invaded my Kingdom. I defeated them, but I did it alone.

3.) WAR WAR WAR. I scratch my head... THE KINGDOM OF SWADIA HAS DECLARED WAR ON YOU. I go to the bathroom... THE KINGDOM OF VAEGIRS HAS DECLARED WAR ON YOU. I take a drink of something... THE SARRANID SULTANATE HAS DECLARED WAR ON YOU. Fix this. Having five wars waged on you at once is extremely annoying - especially when YOU'RE THE ONLY ONE DEFENDING YOUR KINGDOM.

So basically, this has the making of a great mod, but these tiny little problems completely kill it. Fix these, and I'll come back to it. Until then, sayonara Diplomacy.

This is great so far, but how long does it take for your recruiter to gather troops? I ordered 200 troops (I was a vassal and then a trader so I have a lot of money but only 150 troops to my name and 270 in my kingdom ><) but they haven't arrived and it's been over a week. Maybe there could be a dialogue option to ask for a report on how the gathering/training or recruits is coming?

I really love the ability to affect my economy though. :green:

If u need to get money, edit char file, with like 9999999999 money ull have over 12 trillion denars, then just make about 20 or 50 big Patrols, over time they'll crush lord armies, btw to get new lords speak with them privatley after getting ur own kingdom ask about their king if they dont say long may he live it will say cant i persuade u to say more. then so on, etc. but warning u need alot of renown ,honor, and rtr. i have taken over 2 kingdoms and in 3 wars. with over like 90000 troops patroling my kingdom, plus if a lord attacks with no army to back him hes fucked. dude i had 10 big patrols smash on a lord, it was like 108 vs like 550 (plus my army). so u gotta give it a chance.

Its Possible that Your Recruiter was killed by Bandits or an Enemy Faction while heading to Villages to Recruit this has happened to me many times so i suggest you Recruit in your Area for the Best Chance of actually getting Recruits to your Kingdom

Could you please add some of the commander custom menu and such? it will work great with your mod custom commander and diplomacy FTW! :hammer: :pint:

p.s: if you can also edit the cheat table menu getting free troops or renown and honor and such it will be great <3

if you can add: cheat menu: gain honor, renown, export import npc and change banner and recurit troops easily

also if you can add formations ;p
and if you can add gifting your heroes your own lords and enemies and allies and build posts and fort etc <3

I love your work and also Rubik's "Custom Commander" ....wish you both could find the time to work on combining them for us who are to stupid to do so on our own but love both these mods. The only mod i know doing this is "TEATRC" but it only uses parts and much of it isn't completed yet since the port to WB. (or at least for me in inns and scences, etc) Thank you for what you have done already even if I never get to see them merged I do respect your hard work and ideas you already have out.
