This file contains a bunch of new multiplayer maps. Other than that it is not different from Native.
It is packed as a self contained mod and needs no tampering with your Native files. Simply unpack it into your Modules directory and play it like any other mod.
To play the new maps, I have set up a server that will be running them so that you can try them out. The server is called like the mod: OPEN_FIELDS. So search for it. Then please let me know what you think of the maps, and if you have any ideas about maps that I could make.

You can also download just the maps, for use in your own mod or on your dedicated server. Check them out here:

This is version 1.03 and it updates the mod to Warband v1.125. Several maps are now available for different gamemodes, check it all out. More info in the readme file in the mod directory.
There are probably several bugs and issues that need fixing so please report anything you find to me.

There are now a total of 16 new maps in the mod. Most are fairly large open environments, made with large scale battles in mind. Most maps are available for the Battle game-mode, and some are ready for deathmatch, CTF and F&D as well. While the large outdoors environments are well suited for cavalry, the maps also feature various positions that can be defended by infantry and archers. These positions range from simple fences and rock formations, to mounds and moats, and small castles. Using the terrain to your advantage will be important. Hopefully it will inspire teamwork and tactics, because this game is best when people work together.

Thank you for trying out my little contribution to the community. Have fun.

Hi guttorm, I was wondering if I could use some of these maps for the mod I'm making for my clan? All credit will be added of course.

Yes you may use these maps for your mod, as long as I am credited as their creator. Please note that some of the earlier maps still lack AI-meshes and will function poorly with bots. See readme file for more info.

hey, if possable, make us a map pack that can be used widely with different moduals!
I love playing the MP Kengiki modual and the 1257AD modual, but am already bored
to death of the standard maps. I would love to fight as a samurai in a more japanese
looking town or ruins.

That is a good idea, I might do that. However there are no japanese looking towns in my mod and I don't think I will be doing any either.

well open fields with bamboo or huge pine trees or something that could at least resemble the countryside of japan would be nice too.
