Description
This is Mount & Blade as you've NEVER seen it before. Southern Realms adds a lot of variety to the game, giving you more opportunities, skills, and... and I'll let the features list do the talking, since I'm rather chuffed with it myself.

Features:
- Map almost doubled in size from native, showing the Nord homelands, the mighty Empire of Gorinia to the south, and more!
- An extra 20 factions, each with new lands, troops, and heroes.
- Naval travel and combat adds a new dimension to the game; battle cutthroat Nordic pirates or the proud Alanian navy at sea with 2 different ship types and improved boarding ability.
- Foxyman's formations give you the ability to command your troops with deadly precision, but beware; morale failing is now a real problem that can crush the cohesion of your forces.
- Huge troop trees, including several non-faction ones.
- Religions; join the Orinite, Varalite, or Conirile churches to gain access to their holy men, healers, and (of course) battle-hardened religious warriors...
- Face enemies with powerful special abilities such as healing nearby troops, raising morale, or even regenerating health in battle.
- Become a Town Watch commander, with control over the defences of one of the many new or old cities in Calradia
- Hunt deer and boar for food or trophies; these latter can even be taken and sold to those who want them...
- New locations, including country taverns, two universities, and the rogue outpost at Jarren's rock
- Learn one of three skill sets, allowing you an incredible amount of choice in your character development. Either train as a barbarian with the Doaghan, or an Assassin in the alleys of Harlaushia, or learn the arts of command with general Tataca.
- Pubs are rather more interesting; meet the gamblers and drunks of Calradia, along with new mercenary forces that you can hire!
- A ton of other special features; villages now spawn refugee parties when burned, new bandit types roam the map, several companions require quests to allow you to hire them, and troops can be hired in city marketplaces.
- Other new features include shield bashing and spear bracing, both employed by the AI as well as your own forces.
- Did I forget something...?

Oh, and do please take a look at our forum; any feedback would be really appreciated. This is not a final version for the mod, though, so do be aware of that. Many thanks, and I hope you enjoy roaming the Southern Realms as much as I enjoyed their creation.

Having trouble with this mod, and all others for that matter. I am new to modding, this will be my first, and i am clueless as to how it should be done. I have downloaded and unzipped the file, then moved the opened file to the "Modules" folder in my Mount&Blade file. After doing all this every mod i try to load says, during the loading screen, "Unable to open file: CommonRes\ani_walk_sideways.brf" Can anyone help me through this?

Hey Mate,

Looks great :D.

But: I can't board any ships (might just be me, but it says: go to the docks, you go to the docks, only option is go back)
- The assasins: 2 choices: fight, then you say they are drunk and should go home and that's it or go away.
- Kinda the same problem with the General, I can do one quest and then I 'learned to brace a spear, but I can't while on foot (ok, probably misunderstood that part) and on horseback I already brace as ussual.
- Those 2 island cities, Morrant and Tal someting: can't enter them, as I can't get a boat at all. So I cheated, but I can't move at all on both islands.

Well that's enough me nagging about for now ;), will let you know when I find something else ;).
And except for these things: the game is great :D. Became townwatch captain or something like that ;). It's pretty neat :D.

The assassins are incomplete... have you tried going through the second door?

Only certain spears can brace, and it requires a certain key to be pressed. It's mostly pikes that actually work for it.

As for ships; you need enough money to buy the ship before the option appears. Try going back when you have 2000 denars, the option will appear. When you're sailing correctly, that should let you get to the islands properly.

The mod IS good but there are a few annoying little bugs:

1) A lot of characters you can talk to reply something like 'surrender or die'
2) Towns are much bigger but they are a bit empty (at least the new ones)
3) During the sea battles sometimes some of the AI units are stuck in the middle of the sea and are impossible to get unless you shoot them
4) A have been playing for a few hours and i havent found any guns in towns that i can buy (i think the only way you can get them is to do a church quest, it worked for me)
5) Whenever i go to the Nord capital it says that i finished some kind of a quest, and the messages dont stop coming
6) Two locations cannot be accessed, they are the two 'white' castles

Good Points
1) The map is much bigger compare to the other mods
2) I like the huge amount of factions
3) There are plenty of new troops which is very sweet :hammer:
4) New armors and weapons
5) New quests
6) Now you can speak to Xerina and other tournament characters
7) Some of the characters are free to employ, like Deshavi and Jeremus
8) Much more rogue warbands running around
9) New unique formations that can be used during the battle

That's a file from your original M&B, so it's something to do wit your M&B install not this mod I'm afraid.

what changes were made from the feburary version to bring it back to the top of the list of latest releases ? asking so if there are none that i wont ruin saved games.. or if there are changes, will it be save compatible ? love the mod .

Couple more factions, some new pirate locations, more town watch and fleets in the southern half of the map are the main things. I very much doubt it'll be savegame compatible with the previous version, sadly.

Whats up with the battles? My army doesn't join the battle. They line up and barely move.
Most of the time their facing the opposite direction. Any clue ?
