Why name it Modular Item Builder if you didn't start with that part of the mod tool? Just curious.
Because I used "Item" not because of making items, but items can be any pieces of a mod.
And I actually wanted to make it for items first.
Hmmm.... I see. Thanks for the response. I look forward to your progress on this tool. It seems to have the potential to be very user friendly.
After making some edits with this utility, I experienced a bug in the opening quest. Specifically, there was a problem at the end of the battle where you're supposed to ask the robber where the prisoner is located. After several attemps in several new test games, it said the robber escaped and I was unable to find the location of the hideout (the game bypassed the dialogue with him altogether). This only happened in a new module I made specifically for this tool, and no other changes were made to the module aside from what I changed using Modular Item Builder v0.3. Going back to Native, which had none of these changes, the quest works fine again.
Not flaming --- just pointing out an issue that I hope you can track down, as this is a fantastic utility and I hope it gets expanded to include many more edits and tweaks.
Thanks!
The robber actually escaped on my native game and I haven't even used this tool yet. It was my second saved game.
I never tried it with Warband, but I don't think it's compatible.
This tool has been made only to work with Mount&Blade, not Warband. Maybe that's why the bug occurs.
But zeusbenedict said it also happened to him, so it might be a MB: Warband bug, or you might have modded something wrong - accidents happen.
But it's probably just the other game. The troops in WB, for example, have different proficiencies (not different values, but differently given: not wp(value), but wpe(value,value,...). But I've never modded Warband, so I might be wrong.
