Home:  A Romano British mod for 10.10/11
Rating (6 votes): 4.2 / 5.0
Description
This mod is to be based around a time period from 400-600 A.D. Part of this time was also known throughout Britain as 'the dark ages', A time period where rival kingdoms grew like weeds from the seeds of the passing roman presence in Britain. The Great Eagles and Standards of the Legions now gone, people began to look up to these new leaders. Some men followed these people for protection, loyalty, or because they didn't have a choice. Among these many great men and heroes, one stood above all others. Throughout the coming years, he would commit great and valorous deeds. And then, more than a thousand years later, would be reborn in the form of a legend of a man, godlike and glorious, and of his sword, a legend in itself, fit for an emperor.

This mod, based around a series of books called A Dream of Eagles an incredible yet accurate piece of Historical Fiction to describe what happened all those years ago.

go to the downloade link, then select save, your going to want to save it to your desktop. After that open up your mount and balde modules files (go to "my computer then click the C drive {might say BOOT} then click program files, find mount and blade, click on that. Last but not least click on modules) so now drag the rar file to you modules and once its done copying right click the rar file and click on "extract hear" once you have done that all you have to do is wait :-D . although if i were you i would delete the rar file in you modules after that (keeps it clean, and you will probably be downloading alot of files) thats it... oh wait also make sure you have the 1.011 patch on, or els most of these wont work, have fun bye :hammer:

Crashes when I press C to go to the character menu.
Whatever you are doing with the menus is causing it to crash.

I love this mod, however I've got some questions.
I can't seem to scroll all the way to the edges of the map. It seems the map is too big. Is there anything I can do to make it work.

Thanks

Really an excellent mod.
The terrain is much more realistic - cavalry fights on the ludicrously hilly ground in the base version just get annoying.

Character stats start off more advanced than in the base game - which is wonderful. I'm often frustrated that a charging horse seems to just stop instead of mowing an opponent down.

Also, it's sheer genius that one can actually hunt for food! A little unrealstic that I can't strike deer with a sword, but still enjoyable.

Hey I've only been playing this mod for a few days and I already love it, but I want to know if there's a way to change the name of my kingdom. I attacked Fort Crag first, and now the name of my kingdow is ' The Kingdom of Fort Crag' and I don't really like it, so can you please tell me how to change it.

I dusted this one off and had an enjoyable play with it the other day.
The only thing that buggered me is the size of the map and the missions given. I took a mission to follow the Gael's Marshall (starting up in the islands to the North) and was told to follow the king down to Duroconum... which is all the way to the South. A 2-1/2 "day" ride. When I got there, he was gone, so mission failed. If there were some way to assign missions only to somewhat local cities/castles that would help.

Question for you - how do you use the formations? I've noticed it makes the battle not only more realistic but less frustrating with the AI, since they no longer run all over the plamned dace. How can I orient my troops into formations, then?

Any time you see this line, it means you're trying to use a mod built for 1.011 (ie, original Mount & Blade) on Warband.
This is a good mod but it's not actively being developed (at least I don't think it is) so there's not a version for Warband. I could be wrong, I've not been on the Taleworlds forums in close to six months to see.

There IS a Roman-era mod for Warband, as well as a Camelot era mod. Both of these would give some similarity to this one. Have you tried Pendor?
