A Band of Warriors mod for 1.011.

Added patrols & caravans by Geoffrey Ashe, Talak's armory, and Blood loss by Amarillo.

Fri, Feb-06-2009

1. You can now give the villages away to your lords.
2. Optional companion training for all companions, not just the ones in your party. (Based on level difference, so if you import a high level character your companions will gain rapidly.)
3. Got the discussions in with the Dark Hunters, Black Khergits, and Awali back.

Source code is in. So if you don't like those three factions being at war with anyone you can change their relations.

Guns are in, but very rare. Only one troop has them, and they are your top end archers. (And Werner of course).



Fri, Feb-13-2009

This is the third general download.
Added custom commander kit by rubik.
Changed colors for most bandits to put them in red again.
Extra files for RCM style mod. Just rename your old itemkinds1.txt and mod.ini files and put the itemkinds1-rcm.txt and the mod-rcm.ini files in their place. Kill faster, kill better.

I'm seeing bands of bandits running around with zero troops left, plus prisoners. If I attack and auto resolve, I win the battle and then the group in question dissapears. Please fix, thanks.

Rangers are custom recruits available in town, or upgrades from some low level troops.

I got the zero troops problem once also, I have no idea of what does that.

I've got some of the new weapons in, I think I'm looking for some more items with lod support, for horses and items.
Sorry I'm so slow, but every once in awhile I actually get work in the shop.

8 is the current working version. It isn't complete by any means, but it is fun to work with. Still to do are new troops, weapons, and getting the Dark Knights faction to work correctly. IE raiding villages, recruiting dishonored lords from factions that are destroyed, and ruling the world.

The guns are stupid. I immediately took them out of the game, and made some other changes to the items.txt file.

Oh, and please don't include the shield bash and morale codes, both work horribly.

Has worked fine for me so far, only thing i did was increase crosbows damages because in my opninion they were way underpower.But i have one little problem, i allied myself with kindom of swadia as mercenary captain and soon after that helped one lords party against nords, after the battle i got nord lord as prisoner even tough i didnt have points in prison managment skill. The problem is that i dont know how to profit this guy, slavers and ransom brokers dont take him, so could someone tell me what i can do with this guy exept from letting him just go.

Lord prisoners are ransomed by messengers, like in native. I don't know the timing on these, but the message just pops up with the faction offering an amount for the lord and you say yes or no. Lords may also escape and return to their faction. I haven't done the ransom negotiations yet for lords. The next version will have the amounts for ransom of normal troops based on level though.

Over all a good mod, but I have 2 questions:

1.Can someone please tell me how to arm custom troops? When I want to do so, I get the normal current inventory of the Rangers, but the 2nd inventory - with the items I want to give them - does not contain any item that is in my player-inverntory.
Instead, there is the same lowlevel equip, that is already in the Ranger-inventory plus the food I carry around. (I have the same inventory-window twice so to say, aside from the food) :-?

2.And is it normal that items I put in the party-inventory-pool disappear? When I put some items into this inventory, and later acces it, they are gone.

Would be happy if anyone could help me.

Hi, please forgive my bad english. Firstly congratulations for this fantastic mod. Secondly could you tell me how to remove the guns from this mod.
I also want to know why the looters and others bandits don't attack you leaving you in peace. How to make them attack you or running from you if you are too strong? Thank you in advance.

Check the forums under Mods for older versions. E-mail some of the originators, I just used their settings, and did hand redraws of the hero faces to do this temporary port.
