Description
This mod is basically for those who hate the fact that the player can't become king in M&B, so, with this mod, you can:

- Convince and hire lords to join your kingdom.(To do this, simply speak to any lord once you have started the rebellion, and a new option will appear in the dialogue window)

- Assign fiefs to your lords*
- *Not, as you may think, completely useless: You weekly
receive a tribute based on the fiefs your vassals have.

- From your own towns you can recruit experienced troops.

- Towns/castles/villages you own give you power points that increase the chances of a lord joining your faction, and of an enemy faction accepting peace. Power points also weekly give you special-extremely powerful troops.

- You can declare war to other factions, and ask for peace.

- You can choose your faction colour, and name.

- You can choose your faction culture.[Only once when you rebel]

- Most of the options are in the camp menu, in "Kingdom management", a chat window will open where you manage your kingdom.

- Lords will get angry if you take away their holdings, and will be less likely to obbey you.

- To change your faction name, put in the character name the name you want, and then go to the kingdom management menu, and choose the option to change fac name. Then put character name as it was, and bingo.

Important: All the MOD features start working only when you become a rebel.
How?




-Install instructions:

Unzip the rar file in your mb directory/modules, and you have it.

great job with the mod i like it

why not add new banners and do patrols + new horses and new armour and weaps to make the game more exciting

Hey, I think I found a bug. For no apparent reazon a mist appears on the world map. Is this normal?

the mist wasnt a bug
it was caused by the battle sizer.

I must say i really like your mod.It all works, no bugs, no nothing.If i had a suggestion, I'd have to say, more troops(troop trees), other than that, great work.Thanks for your mod,man! :-P

Really nice mod Ivdiness! The only mod I like enough to actually play a full game with.
There isn't really any other mod that gives you the capacity to manage your own kingdom, without adding a lot of things that don't really fit with the quality of native M&B (as in rough textures, rough scripts, mixed UIs).
Don't get me wrong, I can see that a lot of effort goes into all those mods. But I guess that M&B is a little rough around the edges when it comes to modding (as are most games).

It does have a couple of minor bugs/exploits/oddities:
-When you capture a new castle (or maybe when you give it to one of your lords) all villages and castles seem to reset their ownership (back to you).
-I don't know if this is intended, but for some reason, most (all?) lords change banners (compared to native). Of course this is only annoying if you played long enough of native to recognise lords for their banner. :P
-You can rise your relations with any of your lords as much as you want, by repeatedly giving them a fief and taking it away. You can also rise your relations with the fiefs in the same way.

I also have a couple of suggestions:
-Maybe you can fix the relations exploit with the lords by adding a relatively big relations hit when you take away a fief (after all, they should be outraged).
-The money you get per fief owned by your lords seems way to high. I mean, I would be happy if they pay even half of what I would get by owning the fief myself. After all, they are garrisoning my castles for free and it wouldn't do me much good, owning more than a couple fief anyway.

And of course my own wish list for future additions :P :
- It would be great if you could improve the recruiting of lords. Right now it seems way too easy and is pretty much role-specific. Maybe you could add a system similar to the claimant quest in native. Though probably it should be harder than that.
- I would love to be able to recruit lords from other sources than the rest of the kingdoms. Maybe from your companions or from additional NPC appearing in lords halls around the game world (like the claimants).
- Maybe some kind of strategic advisor, letting you give orders and know of the location and doings of all of your lords? Maybe you could break the kingdom management in to NPCs? Though I suppose that would need a capital, like in Native Expansion.

Well, I think that's about it. Best of luck with your mod, in my mind if the best mod for M&B.

I've played Native with no additions, Native with some additions, then a couple of large mods and, finally, War for Calradia. So far, this mod is doing justice to Native, completing it in a way it should've been originally designed i.m.h.o.

I've no major complains so far, so I will list only what I like:
1. I like the Lords recruiting system (though if you cheat with money, you can buy the whole of Calradia within minutes - maybe some other conditions can be added to the recruiting process);
2. I like the Messenger system - brilliant "I'd like to send a letter to..." thingie, it adds more realism comparing to the classic menu function;
3. I like the fact NO other additions have been included (I found other mods cluttered with un-necessary, sometimes low-quality, items) - let the user add whatever he/she wants (I added some of Talak and Raptor's weapons, for instance);

So, in conclusion, I have only that detail on the recruiting to comment upon (though if one's not cheating, then the mod is likely balanced). Hence I rated this mod with 10/10 - congratulations and big thanks!

PS: @terminal85: I've checked the reported bugs about property ownership reseting bug and the lords' disposition exploit and none of them happened in my game. The castles stayed assigned to whoever owned them (I tried taking them both by siege or by buying out the local lord); when trying to take away a castle from a lord, that particular lord was upset (both for the castle and the associated village, so a -24 total). Please check your settings and see if everything is clean - there are no bugs so far in this particular mod.

Other than that, your suggestions are quite good, I support them on my turn.

I have found two bugs about this otherwise very nice mod.

1. When the player tries to attack farmers from his own kingdom, he looses relations with city and village, however he cannot attack. There are lines of red letter about "wrong faction" or something on the screen, and player can choose only "leave"

2. When conquering a town or castle, the ownership of all the villages from your faction changes automatically to Player Character. This is especially annoying when player has many lords and villages conquered and divided between the lords. castles and towns do not change onwership, but villages do.


A feature I am missing the most is some kind of "Lords overview", that would show you which lord own which fiefs, as well as the ability to recruit regular farmers and peasant women from taverns.
