Description
Version 3 has been released.

New Features Include

* 16 New Faction specific in-combat abilities. At least 3 per faction.

* Tougher lords and kings. Lords and Kings are stronger and harder to kill.
* New post-death camera. Allows the player to continue to have a mobile view of the battlefield and continued command of the action.
* New models including new lances, armors, swords, and axes
* New sound effects, including several custom sounds created by Checkmaty specifically for Chronicles of Talera
* 2 New Custom battles allow you to get a quick taste of Talera action
* 2 Illoriaon Quests. A glimpse at the start of their faction questline.
* Raise a mighty Abomination from the souls of the dead and unleash its wrath upon Talera. Beware though, such powerful entities do not like being controlled!
* One new music track
* A few unannounced features I'll let people discover on their own...

File History
Numerous quest bugs fixed- all that have been reported.

New Features:

- Increased starting troop numbers for Blighted Plague and Feron Tribe lords

- Added two new types of 'revived' troops gained though Necromancy. The Revived Taskmasters and Revived Overseers.

- AI Blighted Plague armies are now allowed to convert prisoners to revived troops. Some souls are completely lost in the process.

- New Siege mechanics allow the Blighted Plague to charge out from their castles to fend off an assault. The Feron Tribe will send some of their infantry out to engage the Planelord armies.

- Book of the Dead modified to grant +2 leadership and +5 Necromancy Skill

- New option during character creation and in the camp menu. Allows changing between native forests and the thick Talera forests.

- Bloodthirst rates increased for Feron Berserkers

What's with the low damage this mod? It's not uncommon to see a single man standing surrounded by enemies, getting hit dozens of times and taking over a minute to fall. Seems unrealistic to me.

The tournament is really buggy. For several reasons.

1: It's not actually in an arena? It's in an area that looks like a town (You can walk around most of the town, ect. This might have been intentional, but all the fighters spawn in a very small corner of the area. As it is it just feels kind of stupid

2: Instead of all the fighters at once, they spawn 1-4 at a time. Once again, this may be intentional, but it doesn't really feel right. It would be better if it was all at once.

3: More often then not, when an archer type fighter spawns, he bugs out and spawns outside of the combat area (making him untouchable) While he methodically picks off the competition, including the player.

4: Most of these problems could be solved by moving the tournament grounds to the actual arena, instead of a random patch of ground. This would also limit the area where badguys can spawn, so they won't spawn outside the engagement area. I would also make all of the competitors spawn at the same time, not 1-4 at a time.

the dialouge doesnt work on the horse dealer with the special horse in the quest for the city state thing, it gets to the dialouge for 'i have 10000 gold for u' and it stays there

yea that horse quest is stucking at 10.000 coins dialouge, i found more bad things one is that, map overview, it stuck if u try to look corners and it makes too hard to go castles,towns or villages coz map shaking :D, and 1 more is,forest battle scene, its too bad for low powered computers :D even i have 1024ram p4 1.5 128mb GFFX5200, its nightmare to move and kill :D maybe u can cut some woods there :D

First off...really great mod...alot of credit for the time and dedication it takes, and sometimes the lack of gratitude from slums like me. These aren't complaints, but I noticed a couple of glitches I guess.

1- when trying to sneak into an enemy city, several times it has plopped me into a beautiful looking city, but it's soo expansive that I can't find the guards to kill...and then one time I fell into the deep water and couldn't find a way out.
2-arena fights are generating outdoors, and all spawns are ontop of each other with no way to move.
3-I'm doing the really neat Feron quests...currently making my way to Butterglade...but I keep disappearing, my icon just disappears from the map..everything else keeps going...and I get several dialogue chats with my party...but I can't get anywhere on the map...tried re-loading from a previous save...but it keeps happening when I get up that point.

hope that helps...again really fun mod, with alot of great touches to make things seem more fulfilling. thanks.

Thank you for the input. Those bugs should be fixed with a patch soon.

I have experienced the disappearing bug as well. To prevent this from happening, enable cheats and teleport yourself to butterglade to fight him. After the fight you should no longer disappear. Unfortunately, you might not be able to continue in the quest chain, but like I said, this should be fixed soon ;-)

Edit: The shaking at the edge of the map is also in the process of being fixed. Hopefully we can get a patch out for you all very soon.

awsome mod few questions though with the other factions can u do teh duests similar to feron ect and when and how do you gain aces to teh faction armory oh adn the first quest for feron tribes teh kill the valley bandits ive probobly killed about 50 of there partys its kinda getting old is there anything special u hafto do

This release focused on the Feron. As of yet, the great quest lines and armories are not implemented for other factions.

In the next release, you can look forward to completely revamped Illoriaons with all new armor, weapons, quests, and all those goodies, as well as many other new features and probably some more neutral quests. I can't say everything for sure since I'm just doing modelling, but you can check our forums for progress updates and whatnot.

kool my favourite is the illiorians they always kinda reminded me of the gondor soilders out of lord of the rings on that note when they redo the armour ect is it going back to there old plate armour from the original chronicles of talera

Yes, the Illoriaons are the most heavily armored in the game, so expect a lot more plate.

Good comments all. Thank you Khandrak for answering many of the questions here. I've been focusing on answering them on our forum and fixing the bugs.

Any of the actual bugs will be patched very very soon. This includes the bug with the Feron quests, the screen shaking, the spawning in the corner of the arena map, and the dialog issues. Thanks all!

Well, I was about 3 missions into the Feron quest line, and I got the Death's Hand quest. It was going good, I wiped out the group, but the axe didn't drop, thus I failed the mission. Could I get some clarification?

with the deaths hand quest i both had the same and a related problem with the comment below mine i failed the quest teh second time i tried and you go to try and talk to teh warchief but the option isnt available and about 5 mins after that the game freezes every time has done it upwards of 15 times now .......also ino everyone hates hearing this but when could we expect the illiorian mission lines....... thanks dp(/)

The patch is finished and should be out very soon (ie. today) Those problems with the game should all be fixed.

As far as when release 3 is coming out, I don't really know. Kardio puts a lot of work into these quests, and release 3 will be a lot more than just the Illoriaon overhaul and quest chain. Neutral quests (like Gileas), new features, balancing. It's a lot of work to do.

From my standpoint, I intend to make ~6 sets of armor for the Illoriaon, of which 1 is currently finished. (You can check our forums to see it)

Wow, I am a big fan of this mod. I do have a couple bugs to report. For the Feron quest-line, towards the end when you are supposed to defeat the two lords, I have beaten both of them multiple times and I can't seem to finish the quest. Did I miss something?

Also, and this one was relatively minor, I got stuck in Sea Haven (one of my towns). I tried clicking both the Wait for Some Time button and the Leave Now button and neither of them would work. I had to save, quite and reload to fix it.

You've done a great job with this mod. I love the map; I love the story; I love the individual faction quests. Can't wait for more!!

as i am sure you become aware of someone came up with Fire Arrows and they are brilliant.

Great. i played it through--great quests whished there were more and using the Gilaus army as hired patrol units was inventive. this mod has by far the most Imagination spent on it than any of the other mods. they all seem samey and shit by comparison to this one.
p.s. a shame the map is jaggedy though.

First, before I get starting crying for help, very cool mod. I like it very much and really well done :hammer:
But I need HEEEEEELP! I joined the Illorian (beat me if I spelled it wrong) and the King gave me the task to build a temple for my favourite god in any village.
I don´t know where to get the stones, the king told me to ask the goods merchant in a town, which isn´t on the map :-? (got the builders and three tool sets) So, could anybody help me please? I want to proceed in the game :cry:

I think I found another bug. I have...i believe 56 soldiers and it won't let me get anymore. It says I have too many, but I have already updated my leadership and it says I should be able to get 72 i think. Or 62.

Every time I tried to get another, it would say I already had too many soldiers in my possession or something like that.

while your problem is likely fixed by now, this is not an actual bug. it's just the way M&B is. my guess is that you have a lot of different TYPES of troops. when one has a whole bunch of different troop types and the list of them in the Party window reaches a certain length, it won't let you hire any new troop types, just add more to those existing. to fix this, you should disband the troop types with 1-2 units, which can be easily replaced without harming your company number-wise.

i've got a problem. In the Death's Hand Feron quest, i kill the transporters, get the axe and read the letter. after this, its impossible for me to leave any conversation, city, fort or village, or anything like that.

Make sure to search only Illoriaon's (Orange's) cities. It could be that you haven't checked Everwatch, for example.

Ok, i have been playing this mod it is a pretty nice, well made mod. but i have noticed that there arn't very many new items such as swords,bows,polarms,throwing weapons,or armors. So, i was wondering if i could have the honor of putting in new weapons and armors. If this is ok with you then when i get done doing this i will post it on this site and give all credit to everyone that let me do this. sometihng to think about thanks for reading. :!:

im getting an error message i (as a first time mod user) dont understand how to fix it gets to the very end of loading and closes out leaving an error message saying "get body bo siege leadder failed" or something like that i have another mod and they both get the same result

When the game starts up, at the loading screen, it crashes. the error says it can't open the CommonRes\Costumes_a.brf file.

I've downloaded the mod a few times to make sure it wasn't corrupted and i get the same problem.

any advice?

Yup. Sounds like you have the wrong version - ensure that you have Mount and Blade v. 1.011, not Warband. Failing that, try reinstalling.
