STAR WARS CONQUEST

Description:

This is a Star Wars mod for Mount & Blade 1.010/1.011. There are three factions in the game: Galactic Empire, Rebel Alliance, and the Hutt Cartel. Each faction includes over 12 different troops (Jedi, Sith, Stormtroopers, Commando's, Scout Troopers, Rebel Pilots, Skiff Guards, etc) and the mercenaries in the game have been switched to various aliens like Wookiees, Gamorreans, Twileks, Rodians, Trandoshans, and others. All textures for the user interface and in towns/castles/villages have been switched and the map has been switched to a space texture with planets. The Training and Quick Battles have been modified and the Custom Battle Mod and other functionality have also been integrated. Scene editing is in progress and many of the major planets have been modified.



NOTE: Unfortunately, I no longer have time to work on Star Wars Conquest, but Swyter and the rest of the team are continuing to further improve this mod. For updates and downloads to SWC I recommend checking the ModDB page below since that will be more updated than this page in the future.

to install this mod, the concept would be the following:

1) download this file to your computer
2) it is a ZIP file, so you will need to un-zip it. If you right-click in windows you should be able to 'extract' it, otherwise download software from winzip.com
3) Then, copy the extracted 'Star Wars Calradia 0.5' folder to your M&B Modules folder. For example, C:\Program Files\Mount&Blade\Modules\
4) once the folder is in there, you should be able to choose 'Star Wars Calradia 0.5' from the drop-down when you start M&B

uuuh, I found a bit of a glitch. some times whne I go to the arms/armour merchants the game crashes and the screen turns white...please try and fix this in the next version, I think its a realy cool mod aside from that.

I just fixed that random crash and removed the gallop animation in this 0.5.1 release.

I believe your saved games should be compatible but you would have to manually move them to the new saved games folder. For example, C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\My Documents\Mount&Blade Savegames\Star Wars Calradia 0.5\ to ..\0.5.1\

Pretty fun but the map is so boring. I know its hard to make a good map in space but you could add in some suns or something. The flat map makes it really hard to find any combat and can get pretty frustrating

I just realized that the boring map and lack of enemies to fight is due to the limited number of armies for each faction. I eliminated 3 factions (60 armies) but did not increase the number for the other two factions. I hope to release a quick 0.5.2 patch that will add an additional 30 armies per faction. From my testing this makes the world map a LOT better. See the Taleworlds forums for more information.

the tuskans (is that how u spell it?) and their weapon need some work and the stormtroper darktropper etc. helm are raised too much, they kinda float off.The rebel pilot armour is dreadfull and it would be kool if u could make a spaceship floor instead of "going to the nearest planet" thing :-D :-D

overall its a good mod and i see a bright future 9/10 :-P :-P

We want to rename & move planets on the world map to create a Star Wars Map. We also hope to add more alien races, speeder bikes, weapons, and hopefully a small 3rd faction. Feel free to stop by the Taleworlds Forum to discuss this further since this is where we regularly post updates, etc.

ino this is probly the last place to ask or start this, but were and how could i try n organise a reamake of the last days(lord of the rings) mod from 8.08 i absolutly loved that mod it was soo good n ive talked to the orginal creator but herd nuthing back any help in this matter would be greatly apreciated. n i do realise that i should go to the forum for this but i cant remember my password for my account lol sahem urs sincerly dark apostle.

Awesome mod but it needs work.

One thing I don't like is when you jump, the sound of hoofs :P

When you try and hit with a non-lightsaber weapon the lightsaber sound still starts.

awsome mod but there are alot of small tweaks that could be done to omprove gamplay such as:
not having a random soilder or 2 that charge out and dont obey orders
more mercs
more bandit parties and possible a new faction have no idea what it could be but im sure it could be possible jsut soem suggestions.

ill be honest when i say that iught when it said complete overhaul it was going to be little difrent and not worth my trouble turns out it literally put almost everything i wanted into it awsome mod but i think the difrent races could be expanded a little bit more such as troop trees weapons exetra difrent typs of blasters and weapons couldnt hurt either although i am very impressed witht he selection atm another thing more ships would do really great too as would being able to buh a ship and put one of your companions in t and create your own little fleet. i dont know if this is at all possible but ship battles would be awsome but i know how much work thatd intake so im not expecting to see it just think it owuld be kool. but all n all my second fav mod since 8.08 9.5/10 keep up the good work.

I really like this mod...but playing cards makes it very simple. U can have alot of credits without cheating. What is the ideea of duel? I know u get some exp....but.. what else? Good job anyway.

I played older version, and it was good too, but this is awesome. Very high skill level of makers :) cool looking top tier units, game gives real star wars feeling. I am not fan of sci-fi too much, but this is very good and highly playable mod. I just need to find chest for my gamorean hero :D not easy task at all :-?

Hi im kinda new her at the repository, but love the work you guys been doing. I made some pretty good music tracks for this mod using the rejnorst media site. They have non-comercial tracks free to download. Ill post the music file so people can download. :-)

This, really, really, needs an autosave implementation. This game crashes occasionaly and I've been screwed more then once for not saving enough. Also if you recruit all of the volunteers off of a planet then talk to the adminestrator about recruiting volunteers it glitches out and you get stuck there.

Im sorry; it doesnt become unplayable when the battles are big, but whenever the battlefield is a forest (like when fighting in Kashyyk).

Very nice mod!! Im doing my very own star wars mod at the time and im wondering how to make it possible to equip the atat and the atst , and one more thing im missing two factions in this game the Republic with the clone troopers and all that and im missing the droids and general grevious. :cry: But i realy hope you can answer me about my question and could you help me make some droid armor??? + General Grevious????

Im doing my very own star wars mod at the time and im wondering how to make it possible to equip the atat and the atst , and one more thing im missing two factions in this game the Republic with the clone troopers and all that and im missing the droids and general grevious. :cry: But i realy hope you can answer me about my question and could you help me make some droid armor??? + General Grevious????

This mod is awesome. But I have been having some trouble figuring out how to use force powers. I would really appreciate it if anyone can tell me how to use force powers like: lightning, push, or knight force powers.

P.S. Also when I use the force jump, it just makes me slide in a straight line, is it suppose to do that?

dude this game has just got even better for starters the fact that the map looks even better and mire realistic and the added option of more ships adds to the games gameplay and the clone trooper armor and weaponery looks even better and the quite funny option of being a droid adds to my final rating of 10/10 :-D

you need to travel to any "space station" that are not under command of any faction. i think the colors of these stations are yellow. then you go to the merchants and speak with the jedi senses trainer or what hes called. there you have to buy a power for example "jedi knight powers" and then ammounition for it, for example "choke" or "push". hope this will help you;)

Great mod btw. and if you could make some clothing for helmet that covers all face exept eyes, it would be awasome.

and if you could make jawas shorter and let them have yellow eyes. (when u play as a jawa your eyes are red and you are as tall as humens. in the movies they are shorter and hva yellow eyes.)

I've only seen that error if somebody was trying to run a mod on a version of M&B the mod wasn't designed for. SWC 0.9.0 will only work on M&B 1.010 or M&B 1.011.

Just uploaded 9.0.1 which is primarily a bug fix for 0.9.0. This SHOULD be saved game compatible so just delete/rename your old 0.9.0 folder and install this into the modules directory because it has the same name.

When i download the file it down in 1 sec and when i try to extract it it says cannot extract file is invalid. So i go to a list where the file is and when i try to extract it is says file empty......please insert files to zip folder before unzipping. Anyone know why?

Hokie,

This mod is amazing I have to say you've really done a great job. Anyone who is a fan of star wars should give this one a try.

However, it needs work my friend. I have a very bad problem with my game crashing. My computer itself can run the game no problem, however I keep having crash when I am moving around or if I am about to engage someone in battle. I don't know what happened, I had been playing the game up to about day 40 and then it started crashing. I thought I may have gotten a virus to I reformated my computer and update all my drivers to the current version. Simply put it's not helping me and I really want to play the game but this is starting to become a nussance.

When this is fixed I'll swear by this game.

I am currently redownloading the mod to see if that will help it any.

Try running M&B in XP mode, right-click M&B icon and go to compatibility, choose XP with whatever servic pack and click ok, this worked for me.

Star Wars Conquest 0.9.0.2 was just released, this is primarily a bug fix to try and fix the random crashes on the world map that can corrupt save games. This should be saved game compatible, but will not fix a old saved game if it is already corrupted. If that is the case you will need to start a new saved game, sorry for the trouble.

Well, i dont know (and dont think) you´ ve played mount&blade often before, for that are vanilla "issues".
When you not around the AI fights on itsself, AI = dumb like shit >:)

Same for the fiefs (planets) you conquer for an liege.
You will get one, maybe two fiefs, the other will be given to others generals.
The other generals only follow you when you raise the relationsship with them by doing quest (unless you are the Marshall, then they are a little more supportive).

So found your own "kingdom" and give ´em hell, non serviam >:) .

Just put the folder inside MountAndBlade/Modules, start it by the M&B launcher and start a new game...

Ou and i found bug......actualy many bugs but this one realy suck...

K.. when you attack enemy and pick to fight on planet you and all your trops can spawn outside of fight map they can't get out of there and cant move ....i think it was on planet tatooine

Start a fight with someone. Then in the screen that shows "Order your troops to attack without you" and other stuff there's always an option (at least to me) to choose where you want to fight (Inside the ship or on the nearest planet).

Start a fight with someone. Then in the screen that shows "Order your troops to attack without you" and other stuff there's always an option (at least to me) to choose where you want to fight (Inside the ship or on the nearest planet).

Damn, it what the hell?!! Most melee hits doesn't interrupt enemy's attacks!! It is incredbly challangeing. Or more like unplayable. Really, is it a bug or it is on a purpose?

nice mod,still need a lot of fix like the AI's movments on different palces.yesterday about 800 of the hutts attacked me (all of their lords-.-),and i OWND them by using the rocke launcher going up on the stairs and shooting them....it took about 2 hours......but we suffered about 10 man as casulties(out of 70xD) with this "tactic" :D.
some of the sieges ar pretty fvckd up.....npc are stuck, like on tatooine....theres a guy on the "floor" on the upper part.....was pretty hard to find him lol.
weapons are unbalanced.....some of the best stuff is cheaper than the "lamer" ones like armors.(its cool cos the game is a bit too hard [for me at least])
more races and some "only-for-the-player" races.....for the uniqe kingdom.
the zoom....on the edges....maybe its just me,but its kinda ......disturbing that i cant see the whole screen.
shield bash should do someting instead of a nice animation(it not damaging or anything)
i think that's all.....pm me if theres somethign wrong what i said.

I think its in the character creation, you picked the star wars language. i had that before, or you have to use native language file.

Wow! :-D This mod is better than the game itself! However, sound for the lightsabre and speeder maybe? And not irritating repetive sounds like a one second loop, but like a really good sound, that can be i slow motion too. Sounds is a very important aspect if you want to maintain the star wars credibility...

Fun fact: did you know that the underwater naboo monster is actually the sound designers little daughter crying at a really low pitch?

well it isn't really old because it is after the clone wars which mean't better equipment but yeah its from the *old* star wars the clone troopers and battle droids where just there for the fun of it

I downloaded this about a week ago on another site >.> ;-)

Anyways it's a great mod, I love the new features.

First off, I respect how the developers of this mod correctly use the mod version. (0.9.0.3) Other moders don't understand that version 1.0 is suppose to be a complete game, and version 2.0 is suppose to be a complete game-improving massive update of the game, not a new hero or a few new items. With this mod, I can be reassured that v1.0 is going to be exactly what it says it is, a COMPLETE GAME. Thanks for all the work you guys put into this.

A few things it could use:

- The ability to choose a droid kingdom culture. (I mean if you can get clones you should be able to get droids >.>)
- Area effected lightning and push force powers.
-Ability to jump higher with force jump and jetpacks (without having to push J - simply pushing the normal jump key, where the longer you hold it the higher you jump)
- Force speed.
- A more complex AI system, where troops tend to stick together in units and prefer range weapons over melee. (It saddens me to watch my army of clone troopers put their guns away and attempt to poke the enemy with their kitchen knives *cough* combat knives. Telling them to all to hold position in one spot isn't much of a solution. Is there a way they could split up into groups and avoid running into melee combat (keeping a distance of like 20+ feet but still pursuing the enemy)?

- If the last one wasn't pushing it, this one will. A completely new gameplay mode where each planet you control generates armies (not as strong as lords but strong enough that in numbers could do some real damage). A new command system which allows you to group these armies and turn them into squadrons or armadas (making it easier to have groups of them attack a planet successfully). I think this would make the game feel more like war. Constant battles, constant campaigns, constant fun and excitement.

- Perhaps implementing Planetary Bonuses. At least for some of the important main planets. (such as increase in your factions rifle damage, speed, regeneration, lowers food consumption, lowers troop cost, generates special jedi/sith armies or top tier troops, etc.)

- The possibility to form alliances (in which you can ask for help or be given help without asking if the AI is nearby, and the AI faction will ask you for help on their campaigns also, and you can lend them lords or armies.)

- Other up-risers, aside from yourself who, just like you, start the game without any planets or very few planets of their own and pursue galactic domination as well. Making it possible to join them or make alliances with them. They would be more willing to ally with you than a larger faction. Of course it won't be likely that any of these up-risers actually defeat any particular faction, but it would really give us more options with starting our own kingdoms. Instead of pissing off the big hats, we could just use wait till these up-risers aren't looking and steal their planets, which gives us a fair start. This will make the game more interesting, watching the little guys give the massive factions a run for their money, introducing more strategies for the players to orchestrate.

I'm sure I have more ideas, but ima take a break for now. :pint:
