With this mod, playing the vanilla version of Mount and Blade becomes pointless. 5 stars, 10 out of 10, two thumbs up etc.

An Awesome mod! I am really excited to see Mount and Blade growing in sophistication and popularity, and the Last Days mod is growing right along with it. I give this mod my highest recommendation and humbly beg the mod developers to please, please, please keep updating and adding to it as M&B develops -- it makes an already great game truly spectacular, especially for us die-hard LOTR fans.

This should be a great mod. The stroy is well done, the new map is good, the new armor and weapons look great, the units are well though out. Should be a great mod. Unfortunately the modders seem to have sucumb to the oldest tempation in the gaming industry. That is, when faced with a poor AI, to heap LOADS of cheese on the AI in order to make it seem good. With damage settings at normal everything kills me in one hit, even if I am wearing good armor. AI units seem to have had their attack speed maxed out, and even with a heavy warhorse I can't charge over more than one enemy without being stopped.

In vanilla M&B I play at normal AI and don't use cheats. In last days I am forced to set damage to the lowest setting and use cheats every five seconds just to be able to kill one enemy.

Brilliant mod. This mod can do everything, except barbecue sausages with its sheer awesomeness

Good:

This is the tied on the best mod title with darkmod. These two are the most finished mods i've seen this far. There are very few typos and other writing troubles with always gives a mod more proish feel (i still laugh at gaurds from men of honor 0.4) and makes the atmosphere much better. I'm really happy with the wargs, they are REALLY well made and they look cool. All of the updates are really good.

Bad:

In this new version, I noted that there are very few brigand parties and, in fact, any parties at all. I think the amount was just fine in the old version. And why are there Troll Cave and the fishing village in this version if they are not yet funktionable? It almost cost the life of my first character, 'cause i depended on resupplying at the fishing village. But these are minor matters. More important thing is that it is annoying that you can't win the war. It would be another good update to make it possible to decide about killing the last enemy faction at the old man. And lastly, city attacks wouldn't hurt.

P.S. I see some people who have perhaps watched the movie too many times. The Holy Book (Lord of the Rings) tells us that orcs aren't cannonfodder. Even you would be a fell warrior if you spent your whole life fighting like them. Comparing to the film, the fellowships troopers (Aragorn, Gimli, Legolas, Boromir) are about the skill of Knights of the tower guard, meaning they do the mass murdering and you kill them as much as possible. Nevertheless, I like the fact that you must have a party to kill a lot of enemies, for example in darkmod I can kill most parties alone just lancing them.

Yeah, that other guy has a point. It is a tad hard to stay alive, and orcs are supposed to be cannon fodder. I should be able to rip through them like a hot knife through butter! Uruk-Hai should be a good deal harder, obviously. I still enjoy this mod a GREAT deal, however. And, you might have fixed it in the last update. Anyway, great job.

A few things I would really love to see done...
Uruk-Hai have new skins,and redone stats,Goblins have new models and redone stats,Troll Cave implemented in next update so we can be able to purchase weak trolls their,I doubt it but try to get halflings implemented just maybe..And Elves Implemented.

No the mod doesn't work unless you have version .751, and the mod kind of bridges the gap itself between .751 and .808 so its worth it to get .751 if you don't already have it, but if a newer version of this mod, which just so happened to be made for .808 was made available it would be greatly appreciated, because it's an awesome mod.

Almost everyone who played the previous versions has been eagerly (and for some; obsessively) awaited by those whose free time was consumed by the previous versions.

We all had high expectations, but this? This is huge. As far as I know, it IS the biggest mod for M&B. Hell, this mod is bigger than the game itself. It really is a total conversion.

"Rock" I have same errors too, and i found out that its on all troops. Its a Troop level error, just click ignore when it appears but the problem for me is when i have any party member on maximum level and rest in tavern or minas tirith healer, it appears talking about max level and stuff i wish they would fix this thing!!!!!

Alright i have to say i love this mod.Who doesn't? But the only problem i had was that i couldnt buy any wargs! i know tha tmoria is currently the only place u can buy wargs but it wont let me access the merchant in the smithy. I walk over to him and start talking to him and he says "Yes sir." Then i cant do anything
i click the left mouse button and it wont open up the shop. Someone post something if they have had a similiar problem. Maybe its a glitch. Thanks.

If you read anything about TLD, then you would know that it's based off of the Lord of the Rings books, not the movies, and if you read the book, or searched the sub-boards, you'll see that there is no such thing as plate armor in the Lord of the Rings. If you want that, wait for Chilly5(was it?) to release the TLD Movie-mod pack, that could take a few years though, so don't get your hopes up.

I get a message saying "RGL ERROR-Unable to open file Modules\TLD\Textures\trig_royalwear.dds" during the loading menu...Unfortunately, it gives me one choice which is "OK" and the game shuts down.

Can anyone suggest me another way since I was not lucky enough to see "Start a New Game" page....

k i know there might be a site for this question and all. But im still going to ask here.

So i downloaded the patch and all, also downloaded the 8.08 from mount & blade forums, and then downloaded mount & blade. After that i used this.... thing.... well Mod. Basically it worked FINE until i wanted to start a character... It said launching game... came the error sound (DUN or something) and then some popup... ignore didnt work and retry didnt do anything so yeah.... suggestions please

so! i finnaly got the mod to work, and it worked really well until.... random stuff started to happen, as in words turned black and i couldnt see ANYTHING, then the screen turned black.... the game itself turned into a 1D adventure game (figure of speech) and i enjoyed my battle with floating armor, floating swords with no arms or bodys swinging them at me.... and the squares that were floating out of my horses ass >_> i just kept ignoring it since i wont F***ing wait forever for the game to restart again since it loads forever and i kept playing this horror you ppl call a good mod <_< eventually the game crashed since everything turned black and all i saw was floating heads/hair and it keeps doing it after awhile (mostly when im in battle or entering some place WITH THE OPPOSITE FACTIONS WEAPONS... as in swords, armors... bows or horses/wargs) overall i do not see how this mod made it to the top since it was like a nightmare to me

My guess is people voted as much as they could before they even tryed it...i also turned all my graphics to the lowest as possible thinking it was my comp (wich is always the shit excuse you guys use to piss me off) but no, it kept doing it.... also make it so the horses dont knock you down at the speed of a 90 year old womans

it then gives me the option to "Ignore" which does nothing at all, "Retry" which does nothing at all either, or "Abort" which is the only thing that works and it quits the program so i can't play. Please can someone help me, i would very greatly appreciate it

This mod is for a VERY old version of the game. Don't be fucking twats and post shit about the game being boring, not working and stuff like that.

If you think it's boring, don't fucking play it. Also, you're stupid.

If it doesn't work or works badly, it's 99% your fault. Bad installation, weak computer, something like that. No, it's not an excuse, it works on 0.808 and it works just fine. If you have a problem and you still want to play it before we release a ported version (which will eventually happen), read the Bug Reports thread on our forums and if you don't find the solution, ask.

A big fat tick for this mod! I've been waiting ages for someone to make a mod on the Lord of the Rings and you've just hit the jackpot! Excellent job!

I just downloaded this mod because it is the most popular on the site and i wanted to test it out. However after i installed it i tried to run the game and it gives me an error:

not sure whats wrong, i downloaded the file selected my module directory in M&B, created a TLD folder to install it to, selected the TLD module and clicked play.

I also have the hdr_addon_v1.1 files installed so that might have something to do with it.

After installing this mod i tried running it and it gives me an error

u know u can switch from 3rd person to 1st person view at any time, right? look the options for default key, lol. If u get to used to 3rd person, it gets really hard to play in FPS, so dont get upset if u wont master it for thge first time. And, yes, it is much more enjoyable to play in fps, altough its very hard, especially when u are on a horse (!!!). peace be with u...

Id say reinstall M&B with only the patch needed for Last days version :p or get another hard drive and install the game on both. But of course ill hope he makes an update too lol

I need HELP! When i trying to start the game with the mod it says somthing with error i think. Like white hair missing. But when im installing it says the mod is for 0.808 and you have 1.000. And when im installing the game i got version 1.000. PLEASE ANSWER! I NEED MUCH HELP!

yeah, guess what, how about doing what the message tells you? The mod is for 0.808. And it will not work on 1.000. Is it too complicated? Get 0.808 if you want to play it, or wait until we release a new version for 1.xxx
