Description
This version is a map update by Corvid. Should fix most, maybe all of the map problems (parties getting stuck, unreachable villages, etc.). It's savegame compatible, but a new game is recommended to get all the fixes working.

Features:
-Changed the formations AGAIN. This time they can follow you or a standard bearer.
-Optimized scripts, models and textures, runs like a breeze :-P
-Includes an adapted version of Custom Battle mod by Iberion & Kolba. Fight 6 way battles!
-Name your party!
-Regional troops: the lords of certain towns will have access to unique troops. Those troops are powerfull, and will garrison the town and acompany the lord to the field. If the Player conquers the town, he too has access to them.
-There are two branches of troops: the one that starts from peasants and a second one (better). If you join a faction (and have enough money) you can recruit the second branch from towns. This includes Demilances--->Knights for Swadians, Cannoneers for The Imperial State and many more.
-Unique items obtained randomly after large battles.
- Alternate animations for attacks: I have added alternate animations for some attacks, the engine will randomly choose between them. So far it's available for the one handers and two handers. This adds more visual variety to the combat.
-Lots of new dialog.
-New units, factions, items and all that jazz. Some models textures and retextures by yours truly :P
- Some other stuff I can't recall at this moment.

Yep, your current version is 0.6. After that, I uploaded 0.6a that fixes the bugs. So yeah, a redownload should do it.

it's reasonable that two hands weapons can't be used on horse back. but can we make the two hands weapon stronger then? it will lose the meaning of using two hands weapons, if they can't totally beat the single hand swords in attack points.

you need a RAR FILE READER which you can download free off the internet (im using JZIP). then download the mod and when you open it it should open with the reader. Then click extract file with the file destination being 'Program Files/Mount & Blade/modules and it should then be playable. Hope this helped

Hi

Nice mod, these factions are PRETTY good. Just one question, why are trees of some of them so small? Lion throne has infantry - veteran inf. - elite inf, not very strong either, and that is all. (Actually it is impossible to play with such units)Imperials have 2nd level some dragoon thingy, quite unbalanced I think. Those firearms are great.

Re: The Eagle and The Radiant Cross  » posted by D'Sparil on Dec 08, 2008, 05:19:24 am
The Lion throne has much more troops than that. But to get the best troops youll have to join them and recruit from towns.
IP: logged
Re: The Eagle and The Radiant Cross  » posted by tbone on Dec 08, 2008, 06:42:21 pm
so if you dont join the faction then you cant recruit from towns? because i captured a town on my own and i cant recruit from it
IP: logged
Re: The Eagle and The Radiant Cross  » posted by D'Sparil on Dec 08, 2008, 07:46:20 pm
Exactly. It wouldn't make sense otherwise. I mean, for example, why would the Lion Throne send new brigadiers to be recruited in a town that no longer belongs to them?

Re: The Eagle and The Radiant Cross  » posted by Lady on Dec 09, 2008, 06:36:29 am
Really, its true. I always try to stay independent as long I can. So you actually have to join some faction if you want good units to fight with.

i have to say this is the BEST!!!!! mod i have ever played i love the fact that you have to recruit from big towns for good troops and you can have your line of infantry form into a brick and move around and having your riflemen hold their fire till you can see the whites of their eyes is just awesome great sound effects for guns perfect smoke and the ocasional burst of sparks from gun i get so enthralled in this mod that i lose myself for hrs building my army and fighting with outrageous odds
SO THANKS VERY MUCH

i agree the best mod ive played second ony to the last days mod of .808 i have a few sugestions for future mods bieng:
1: renoun should give more troops say every 15 renouns give extra soilder.
2: more rifle textures a dif rifle or even 2 for each faction would be a great effect.
3:defenetly keep going with your own textures they took the mod from 9 to a 10.
4:more factions partys ect border reivers, rosien knights .......

overall this is probly the best modern mod that ive played keep up the good work pm me if u want to chat ........ thsi mod has lots of potential.

okay ive seen youve answered the question as to WHY CANT I RECRUIT SPECIAL UNITS FOR THINGS I HAVE CAPTURES MYSELF as to which you say is unreal, it kinda frustrates me to go through the trouble of attacking a main base by myself, losing multiple times, then when knowing i have it, i cant freaking recruit units from it. how is it unrealistic, the x-warriors may have skill and can train others, ever thought of that?

Umm... take away guns from this mod? Are you kidding me? This is renaissance era mod, of course there will be guns! Also, if you turned off guns, the Imperial State would be soooooo screwed over, along with quite a few others. All I can say is, if you don't like guns, don't dl this mod. Thats all.

Re: The Eagle and The Radiant Cross  » posted by losh14 on Jan 27, 2009, 01:18:18 pm
This is my favorite mod, I play it more than any of the others I have on-hand.

The firearms add a new feel to the sieges, and a new strategy. I'm glad you balanced the power of a 90-damage firearm with heavier armor plating so that the gunpowder troops have a presence but don't necessarily dominate the battlefield.

The pike and rifle clusters are excellent as well and call for new strategies. I must admit, I love parking my horse archers about thirty seconds' charge from the pikes and letting off volleys until the pikes either charge us or separate.

I'm really not sure what else you could add. I've been fighting some very large battles (300+ per side) and the only special item that seems to come up is Zebuylos. It's a clever spear, though I much prefer the swing of a vulge.

Thanks so much for designing this and sharing it.

I love this mod! The Renaissance/Late Medieval Age combat is excellent and the guns add a great dynamic to the combat. I love playing as the Imperial State, almost feels like I'm playing a Warhammer mod.

I'd like to see in a future update a second animation for the guns so it doesn't look like everyone is loading a pistol. I know it might be difficult to animate it for horseback but then again, maybe rifles shouldn't be able to be used while riding?

Also, maybe you could increase the appearance of Imperial equipment in the stores? I've only seen the Cavalier's Sabre twice in the past 5 hours on my Imperial State based character.

Great Mod. I really love the Firearms! Standing around, surrounded by other Gunman and shooting down the light cavalary..! Damn it! Great! Or these fucking great Quick Battles... 300 Gunman on each side.. -But the preussish army wins! Muahha.. the only strange thing is: that the imperial state looks a bit like the preussish army, but thats funny in a way.. So.. five god damn points!

This is a fantastic mod though i wish the firearms could be tweaked/toned down a little, e.g. remove the repeater weapons and increase the loading times though make them more powerful, some of the unit's in this game just cause my computer to lag out due to the amount of smoke created by guns.

Great game, awesome mod, "my Marnid" lvl-ed u t 5 in no time(PWND all). But thre are a lot of villages and castles where i gcant get in, like Veidat, and many other wich i cant remember right now, so THATS a big bug hehe^^.The pike-d unit-s somewhere maybe a bit too "powerfull", but maybe it not that bad, but other may feel it "unfair" that they have so long pikes :D.Try to make something to factions not to "declare" war to other factions that far away from them.A readme wich details the troops of each fctons and there "upgrade trees".Some sort of "massage" system so i can send messages to otherlords like "meet me at xyz to siege"Thats all i can think of now, maybe some these ideas looks like for a new game :D,but if you can make it itwould be KICKASS !!!! ^^

I love this mod! The latest version has some issues with map movement...the Ai will get stuck particularly near bridges. In one instance, Kaiser Fredreick...3 caravans...and another Imperial Army was stuck. I would speak to them..they would move towards the river then turn right back and go to the same spot they were originally stuck in. Hope this gets fixed cause this is one of my favorite M&B Mods.

A great mod, and my favourite. Although it may be modest in terms of new features, it has more humor and life and character than almost any other mod that I can think of. The world and factions are not only well balanced but feel alive. You'll know what I mean when you join the Imperial State or Lion Throne or Holy Swadian Empire. The items are fun and unique items that you randomly find after battle add a bit of thrill, as well as a reason to keep playing later into the game. Plus, like many things in the mod, they can be very funny. Although there are some flaws and odd choices and numerous spelling mistakes (although, according to D'Sparil, he was drunk when he worked on this, so I suppose typos are to be expected :-P ) The Eagle and the Radiant Cross is an excellent mod that I highly recommend. It might not have kingdom management and sea battles and what not, but it has a spirit and is great fun to play.

About your mod:

In the past I've downloaded and played this mod. Shortly thereafter my motherboard (System Board) fried. It has since been replaced and I really want to play this mod again. Is there anything in your mod that may have caused this or was it a malfunction that was bound to happen eventually due to a flaw in the design or make?

Are you able to make a patch to allow you to wear you're own armour in Tornies? like in 1257. ITS THE ONLY THING NOT AWESOME TO THE MAX.

you have to right click, and click extract files, then choose where you want to put the mod, should either be:

1. C:\Program files\Mount & Blade\ Modules or

2. C:\Program files\Steam\Steamapps\Common\Mount & Blade\Modules

also sounds like a good mod :D just finished downloading it then :pint: :pint: :pint: :pint: :pint: :pint: :pint: :pint: :pint: :pint: :pint:

Just wanted to say great Job, although this mod isn't what I expected it to be, me having a different taste in mods, but quality is excellent and it seems a lot of time has been put into it.

Hi everyone, does anyone feel like helping a complete numbshot out? All i know about computers is how to play games, and i have no idea how to even get this mod working ;s
I had it downloaded, and surprisingly enough, i didn't have to unzip anything, this instalshield just appeared. i had it installed, and then it was saved in the Module-Folder in the Mount and blade-folder. I can't find any setup file or .exe file in my module-folder i now have "Native" and this one in 2 different folders, but i can't launch this module it seems. I Made a new game, and it just started Natives. I'm pretty sure it's just my lack of skills which is the cause of this, but would anyone be so kind to make me a step-by-step tutorial on how to have this working? It'll be higly appreciated indeed, thanks :)
