Description
NOTE: Tested and Works with 1.132/1.131

I have always wanted a Roman mod for Warband, so I made one myself. What happens is the Romans invade Caladria.. oh just read the story!

The Story
The Romans have come seeking new lands, and have completely taken over the Swadians.
And the Gauls, having lost all their lands to the Romans, came and took over the Nords.
Now the Rhodoks, Veagirs, Khergits and Sarranids realize that the Romans and Gauls pose
a threat to their kingdoms. You arrive in Caladria, with a huge war going on.

So now, you only have four options:
1. Join the Romans, and help them take over Caladria
2. Join the Gauls, and help them take over Caladria
3. Make your own faction and destroy everybody else
OR
4. Join one of the other factions to help destroy the Romans and Gauls.

Some of the Basic Features:

2 new factions, The Roman Empire and the Gauls
The new factions have new troops and troop trees
New Roman/Gallic items - Special Thanks to Llew2
The Lords of Rome/Gaul have new names
The Romans & Gauls Towns, Castles and Villages are renamed

And Some Tweaks:

Larger party size
Bandits have larger party sizes, minimum 15, max 50 with looters having a max of 100.
Higher bet options for tournaments
Cattle follow you
Minimum of 5 recruits per village, maximum 20
Siege tower moving speed cut in half
Building improvements cut down by half
Some dialogs changed.
And some other stuff, that I can't remember

ive downloaded it and it says download complete however when i go on game nothing comes up apart from the usual version help

Did you extract it into Mount&BladeWarband Modules? And once you click on M&B Warband did you select "Roman Invasion" instead on "Native".....Those are what I can think of

This mod is amazing, it makes Mount & Blade much more fun. Plus, is there any Standerd-Bearer armour? I wanna give one of my companions it. Keep up the good work!

Maybe you are putting it in the wrong folder. If you have steam, you may wanna put it in \Steam\steamapps\common\mountbĀ­lade warband\Modules

If that does'nt work then maybe you need to Download it again.

It would be an awesome idea to have people like the Roman Standard Bearers who would boost the moral of the troops in battle and make them fight better and not retreat etc etc. But that is probably quite impossible:(

But anyway when will the new version come out? I've got a feeling you've made something really good there!

this mod dosnt work for me when ever i start it it crashes on the loading screen and says "unable to open file:commonres/fur_armors_a.brf" any ideas are welcomed thnx

Hi Guys,

i would just like to say a few words here,

the roman invasion mod is really REALLY awesome!! but is lacking quite badly.

i would love to see a complete conversion mod, (ie take the fantasy factions out) ad the picts, germanics(goths), greeks, egyptians.(for example)
and remove the medieval feel from the game as it feels really out!

I have been playing the roman invasion for the last month and a bit none stop it is really the best thing that has happened to mount and blade thank you for this awesome mod,

but as i said before there is still too much medieval(knights n stuff) in it also the romans did not believe entirely in "cavalry" for example in a single legion there would be 160 cavalry men, these were primarily used as messengers, scouts and the horses belonging to the commanding officers. "although it does make for interesting combat."

also the market places probably work on a random setup but i have been struggling to buy roman armour and weapons in roman towns???? doesn't make much sense but that i can still live with.

i wish more guys out there would start actually making decent mods like this one instead of the S**t that comes out all over the place.

the biggest issue i have however is the fact that i have had really difficult battles due to the fact the romans (well arn't romans) the formations are all messed up and so is the "hold ground and the other one forget what its called but the f1+f3 and the f1+f4 commandes....

i have stumbled apon a really cool website as well in regards to the historical facts and myths of rome it might not have everything but it has a lot of cool information.

and then finally i do understand that the majority of these issues are developer fault (i.e mount and blade developers) but the tournaments just plain out SUCK! the combat system is pathetic it would be cool if we could get a cercus or collossium effect from the roman cities and fight like gladiators instead of the default BullS**t that is in the game.

many thanks that the recrutment was "fixed" and the bets, and i am really glad you guys kept to the look of the romans so much.

thanks guys just a few things i thaught i should bring to attention and hopefully will see in any future rome mods.

Hello! I think this Mod will be great but find that I am too late in trying to play it as it does not support the latest update module of 1.143. Hoping you could work on it to let us all bask in the brilliance of your hard work and amazing gameplay. Carpe Diem!

Hi i have see already on youtube that this mod is awesome but i have a problem.
I dont know wich file i must use.
Its Steam and i have already used other files but non of then has do there job.
Maybe it is because i have Mount and Blade Warband 1.154.
